I've got a nephew by marriage who is Mexican (which, btw, is not a race but a nationality), and he is half-French. I have a bil whose parents were Portuguese - he was born in the US, but lived outside it for most of his pre-adult life. He also has a heritage of 100% Jewish. I have a great-nephew by marriage who comes from a Pakistani Muslim family. I have bil who was born in Denmark. I have 2 adopted great-nieces, one who is from India, and the other one is black. With a family like that, how can it make any difference to us? I don't usually think that much about it, except when topics relating to racism come up.
