Political Consultants?

Does anyone here work in this field? I'm curious because I'm a soon to be college student and I'm interested in this area as a possible future for myself. Working on campaigns and whatnot. It all sounds good but I don't know anyone in this path so I'm hoping someone has an idea of what it's like.

I'm a marketer, it almost the same thing. Basically you are building a brand and a perception and of course a need for your product.

Well I could've guessed that. :P I'm just going to have to google around for specific firms and stuff to keep for a later date.

TV advertising was one of my games. Branding is fairly easy, building demand is another thing altogether. Lots of teamwork involved. And, it'll be a while before you are trusted enough to be a 'single voice'.

If you're a political junkie, go for it. You'll need to hook up with someone specific - maybe from your district. Move to DC after school and have at it!
