Is it supposed to be surprising that Obama lied, or is it surprising that CNN said he lied? For us dial-up cripples, we need a little extra info when the main thing is a video. I'm not sure we have any other dial-up cripples on this site any more besides FC & me - and we don't have anything else available out here.

More here;
Chicago Annenberg Challenge Shutdown? by Stanley Kurtz on National Review Online=
Quote:
|
Ayers and Dohrn remain unrepentant for their terrorist past. Ayers was pictured in a 2001 article for Chicago magazine, stomping on an American flag, and told the New York Times just before 9/11 that the notion of the United States as a just and fair and decent place “makes me want to puke.”
|
I wondered about the $50 million dollars Annenberg Challenge (Obama and Ayres) plus (The $49.2 million challenge grant over 5 years (a planned $3 million the first year, then $11.55 million per year for the next four years) was contingent on being matched 2-to-1 by $49.2 million in private donations and $49.2 million in public money. [19][35])
Total $150 million.
What the Annenberg Challenge accomplished.
Quote:
Evaluation
The results of an August 2003 final technical report of the Chicago Annenberg Research Project by the Consortium on Chicago School Research "suggest that among the schools it supported, the Challenge had little impact on school improvement and student outcomes, with no statistically significant differences between Annenberg and non-Annenberg schools in rates of achievement gain, classroom behavior, student self-efficacy, and social competence."[36]
Chicago Annenberg Challenge - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
|
So Obama helped spend $150 million with "little impact". Yeah......... socialism.
Another video of Obama bragging about the job Bill Ayres gave him.

It's not surprising to me that Obama lied, but it is very surprising that they would even bring this up on CNN.

Does anybody hear that sound??? Its the sound of Obama's favorability going south for the winter. Except in the inner city of course not trying to sound racist but fact is fact. Obama would have to burn a Ethnic church to get people of Ethnic background to not vote for him.
Ethnic substituted for political correctness.

CNN feels comfortable that Obama will win thats why they aired it. I hope thier comfort is misguided.

Or maybe even the MSM is starting to fear an Obama presidency. Let's hope!

It's not available here. The only possible thing we could get would be satellite, and that is definitely much more expensive than dial-up - as well as having installation costs. And even at that, it would be iffy; I read the literature from Hughesnet, and they said you have to have an open shot at the southern sky. Well, how far above the horizon it needs to be, I don't know, but we've got very tall trees just to the south of us, and they're on someone else's property, and no chance they'll ever be cut down - at least, not with the current owners of the property. We don't even have cable here.
Do you know there are places in St. Louis, MO. that still don't have DSL available? Unless it's happened in the last year. I know my granddaughter's in-laws didn't have it available the last I talked to them.
If we were to get Hughesnet, or something similar, though, it would have the advantage of FC & I being able to be online at the same time.
Edit: I didn't see FC's post when I wrote this.

Actually you didn't have to respond to rodog. You actually ended your first post on the issue saying it's nota vailable where you are.
Just thought I would point that out.
My parents had or have Satallite. They are about 7 miles or so from town. They don't have broad band out there yet. I think they have had a tough time with satallite.
It is kind of strange (no offense) that some people think broadband is avail everywhere. I guess I have been guilty of that thinking before...then I went for a drive over the Mountains and figured out even my cell doesn't work in some places.

Yep, your first post that was responded to already explained why you are on dialup.
