In late August, the six-foot-eight Leatherneck scored a major upset in Arizona's 8th Congressional District GOP primary. He beat fellow Iraq vet and former state senator Tim Paton who was heavily favored and backed by the Republican establishment in Arizona and Washington.

[cynicism] Sgt. Kelly is Pro-Life, favors border security and supports citizen gun ownership. I hope he isn't counting too heavily on National and AZ R Party support now that he won the nomination. While those stances may find sympathy with many voters in his SE Arizona district, I think many in state and national R leadership may find those stances disagreeable. [/cynicism]

Former radio talk show host and political activist Melanie Morgan is planning a protest outside the glitzy Jerry Brown fundraiser hosted by Jodie Evans, the cofounder of the anti-American group Code Pink this Saturday night. In her announcement of the protest, Morgan asked if Brown is a terrorist sympathizer, “Or is he just whoring himself out to people who fund thugs and rapists, support killers and send aid to people who murder U.S. servicemen?“, a reference to Jodie Evans’ well-documented history of working with terrorists and state sponsors of terrorist against the United States.
...
Is Jerry Brown aware of what Jodie Evans has been doing for the last eight years? Does he know she’s been consorting with enemies of America? Does he agree with the Code Pink founder, terrorist supporter, and Democrat party activist?

Does Jerry Brown truly believe that it is “counter-productive and insulting to voters” to ask Brown why he is taking money from a woman who has the blood of American soldiers on her hands?

[sarcasm] What a delightful choice CA'ians have for Governor! [/sarcasm] As the article makes obvious, AG Brown was there for the support of long-time supporter friend Jodie Evans. But by failing to discern her recent reprehensible activities he is at least tacitly supporting her hateful acts toward the US military (including the CA National Guard, which the Governor of CA commands!).

Facing Brown in November will be Meg Whitman, who is likely to be a near-RINO moosh-over at best. Whitman make fiscal conservative noises, but then so did holy sheep Gov. Schwarzenegger holy sheep in 2003. Unless Brown has an ideology transplant or Whitman actually has a genuine spine underlying her bluster, CA is headed for bankruptcy.

Most Big Journalism readers are probably already familiar with Tyler Collins. Tyler is the man who walked through the Fancy Farms picnic in Kentucky a few days ago pretending to be a Rand Paul supporter. He was carrying a sign with racial overtones and, when interviewed by a local TV news crew, made some racial statements, e.g. “that fence [the one on the border] better be electrified.”

Well as you’ve probably heard by now, Tyler is not a Rand Paul supporter at all. In fact he’s a liberal columnist for a local newspaper who is supporting Rand Paul’s opponent, Jack Conway (he was later filmed marching for Conway, minus the costume). Tyler is also a big supporter of Barack Obama.

I am already supporting four third party candidates in Governors races, because the GOP Nominees are horrible in those races.

I don't support Tax-cheats (Maes, R-Colorado), Corrupt sleezbags (Deal, R-Georgia), Pro-Abortion funding RINOs (Whitman, R-California), and stupid RINO "nerds" (Ric Snyder, R-Michigan)

I have in the past strongly supported Democratic Nominees as well as Republican. But, Healthcare, The Financial bill, and Cap and Trade make it impossible for me to support a Democrat anymore, So I'm boycotting the Democratic Party.

I support somewhere around 60-75% of Republican Nominees, but sometimes I'll go rooting for Libertarians, Constitution Nominees, and Independents.

Some weeks back I called the GOP, one of many times. Some fellow answered and I got off to a fast start.

Some of the highlights of my 10 - 15 minute tirade were >

I complained about Steele and his vacuous 200 to 215 word word collection of tripe - ten day e-mail with donate featured at the end. Yes, I have counted the words.
I repeated about how we faced the most important election in modern times this coming Nov. 2.
I said the GOP web site was garbage. When you go to it, your almost blinded by the Blood Red and the Word ----------- "DONATE" and there isn't much else. You have to go on an Easter Egg hunt to find out something!

Most of the candidates they have supported are Liberal to moderate Republicans.

I ASKED -
Where is the leadership?
Where is a Republican sponsored Voter drive?
Who is informing the Public about the Republican Platform?
Where is the RNC so that the public even knows they exist?
Where is the inspiration to motivate the public to vote Republican?
Why isn't the RNC providing some means to educate the public about Republicans?

On the last question - this fellow said, ( I am not lying )

We don't do that here. We only raise money for candidates.
If you want to find out about Republican issues, you can do what I do!
You can go to Hotair.com or there are many websites like that on the Internet!
************************************************** ***********************
The New GOP Website
Http://www.gop.com/
Well the old web site had the huge red banner and all my eyes could see was "DONATE" and there were a few boxes you had to open and hunt to find out anything substantive.

In the new GOP page, at least the "Donate" is graphically in perspective with the rest of the page.

The new web site is improved - BUT!
But I still grade the NEW GOP web site with a "D" A giant "D"

(A personal idiosyncratic opinion - I think there is too much Red - too much like blood)

Let's compare it with the DNC site.
On the GOP site, if I mouse over the Act, Social, Blogs, Issues I see Zero.

On the DNC site Home and Blog does nothing when moused over.
However mousing over >
OUR PARTY gives - What we stand for, The Democrat platform, 50 state strategy, About the DNC, party organizations, Democrat Leaders, Party History, Voting Rights Institute, National Lawyers Council, Change Commission.

ACTION - 11 sub topics
AGENDA - 10 sub topics
LOCAL - nothing
PEOPLE - 15 sub topics - LIKE - African Americas, Asian Americans, Disability Community, Faith in Action, LGBT, Native Americans, Rural Americans, Seniors & Retirees, Small Business Community, Union members & Family, Veterans & Military Families, Women, Young People and College Students.
ESPANOL

The DNC site has something for every group to immediately go to. There is no mystery for them to find out something and thereby get involved .
Why are the GOP web designers in my opinion incapable of designing a web site that reaches out to attract Conservatives and Republicans

************************************************** *****************
My complaint with the GOP is a long and protracted series of complaints stretching over the last four years.
I believe, I mentioned before that I had signed up years ago, to receive MoveOn's; the DNC; Barack Obama when he became a candidate, Media Matters and lately Organizing for America.
All in the interest of being apprised of what their propaganda consisted of.

During Obama's campaign, I received sometimes 2 e-mails in a single day and daily messages from the others. All filled with urgent action I needed to respond to. I was even asked to travel to another state and knock on doors and pass out fliers.

They are all filled with heavy propaganda. Some of what I have received is outright lies about what was going on politically. They are filled with dire threats about the evil Republicans and Conservatives.
Oh, yes there "is" the request for $ 5 at the end. Can you imagine that? They weren't out to rape me financially. Only $ 5. Not like the GOP, that suggests much more as an initial donation.

The $5 dollar contribution is in my opinion, pretty smart. It gets their involvement and there will at least be another $5 if not much more after they continue reading how evil Republicans are.
In case Republicans, Conservatives and Independents have not realized it yet - It is SOP to accuse them of being Evil, war mongers and anti-American.
Our RNC is traditionally Silent.
Thank God we have the Tea Party, Karl Rove and others raising money to support Conservative Candidates. The RNC doesn't.
******************************************

Following up on the New GOP website >

I clicked on Illinois - GOP the state I live in. The totally red blaze website led of off with two menu boxes on the right - Join & Donate

The text letter told me that ILGOPTV had launched a new website.

I almost couldn't find the ILGOPTV link it was so small at the bottom of the page. I clicked on the link and was greeted with a video of Mayor Harold Washington criticizing Quinn 1983 - 87. The video narrator whispered the, "We don's need Quinn."

Question should the first video shown, be some 25 year old muck smear video? Most of the voters don't even know who Mayor Washington was! The video carries little weight, but certainly shouldn't be the first video featured.

Maybe something exciting and inspiring about the Republican candidate or the political issues we face? Something about voter registration, get out the vote, Get involved, Stand up and be heard!

In case you din't know, the candidate that the RNC financially supported in Illinois is Mark Kirk, despite two really good Conservative candidates.
He is a Gay and has consistently voted pro gay, and first voted for Cap & Trade and against the defense of marriage act, among other issues.

Earlier this week, Left-Wing Gentlemen’s Quarterly (aka GQ) landed a big scoop that was destined to alter the shape of the 2010 elections, if not American politics as we know it: an anonymous source said Republican Senate candidate Rand Paul kidnapped a woman while attending Baylor university and forced her to take illegal drugs. ...
But the journalism malpractice on the part of GQ and others who rushed to spread the meme like Politico’s Smith is fully exposed when the magazine’s anonymous source came out of hiding and dropped this bomb to left-wing blogger Greg Sargent at the Washington Post’s Plum Line blog:
