How They Corrupted America
and What We Can Do About It
By Angelo M. Codevilla

Introduction by Rush Limbaugh

About the Book
In this profound and incisive work, Angelo M. Codevilla introduces readers to the Ruling Class, the group of political elites from both parties who run America. This Ruling Class, educated at prestigious universities and convinced of its own superiority over average citizens, has everything to gain by raising taxes and expanding the reach of government. This class maintains that it knows what is best for citizens and continually increases its power over every facet of American life, from family and marriage to the environment, guns, and God.
It is becoming more and more apparent that this Ruling Class does not represent the interests of the majority of Americans, who want to rule themselves and enjoy the freedom on whose promise America was founded. Millions of Americans are now reasserting our right to obey the Constitution, instead of the Ruling Class. This desire transcends all organizations and joins independents, Republicans, and not a few Democrats into The Country Party, whose members embody the ideas and habits that made America the world's envy. The majority of Americans feel that the Ruling Class is demeaning us, impoverishing us, demoralizing us, and want to be rid of the Ruling Class.

About the Author
Angelo M. Codevilla is professor emeritus of international relations at Boston University. Educated at Rutgers (1965) Notre Dame (1968), and the Claremont graduate university (1973), Codevilla served in the U.S. Navy, the U.S. Foreign Service, and on the U.S. Senate Select Committee on Intelligence.

He taught philosophy at Georgetown, classified intelligence matters at the U.S. Naval Post graduate School. During a decade at Stanford's Hoover Institution, he wrote books on war, intelligence, and the character of nations. At Boston University, he taught international relations from the perspectives of history and character. His latest book is Advice to War Presidents (Basic Books 2009), and previous books include The Character of Nations: How Politics Makes and Breaks Prosperity, Family, and Civility, and Between The Alps and a Hard Place.

"It is a brilliant piece, folks, and it's important. It's not often that I say that...it dovetails with something that I have been trying to explain for 20 years on this program...it is just too right on, right on, right on!"

"Angelo Codevilla puts into words what has been troubling an increasing number of Americans about our politics and our government. It's a cri de coeur that needs to be read by anyone trying to understand what's happening in public life in America today."
Jack note:
The Ruling Class first appeared as an 18 page article in the July/August 2010 issue of The American Spectator. This article is so on target and so packed with hard hitting profound insights that I high-lighted it with color high-lighters almost every where, and removed it from the magazine and put it in a booklet and added it to my library. ( When was the last time you've seen an 18 page article in a Conservative magazine ? I never have. The editor of The American Spectator said it was the longerst article they had ever published.)

My Conservative friend, this book, The Ruling Class, is exactly what you've been looking for.
