Barack Obama’s connections to Oprah Winfrey and her New Age guru, Eckhart Tolle, are the least examined, yet most revealing, and by far the most potentially ruinous of the senator’s controversial associations. Obama claims to be a “committed Christian,” yet appears to support Oprah in the worldwide dissemination of Tolle’s and her virulent anti-Christian doctrine.
The closeness of the connection may now be paying off. Oprah has rejected the idea of having Republican Vice Presidential candidate Gov. Sarah Palin as a guest on her show before the election. Palin would seem a natural. Did Oprah put Palin aside because of her loyalty to Obama?
And who is Eckhart Tolle? According to his own account, after a childhood of trauma and a young adult life of despair and depression, Tolle, at age twenty-nine, experienced a psychic split in his personality during which his ego or his false, suffering-self collapsed, leaving him with the realization of his “true nature as the ever-present I am, consciousness in its pure state prior to identification with form.” Not long after that, he entered into what he calls his “new incarnation as a spiritual teacher.” Believe it or not, Tolle thinks that he has become the greatest living spiritual teacher on earth by overcoming “egoic delusion.”
Oprah accepts Tolle’s doctrine completely and promotes it globally with a fervor unmatched in her other pursuits, so we may call the foundation of their joint venture, the Oprah/Tolle doctrine. But what exactly is it?
According to Tolle, the Sacred Scriptures (the apostle Paul’s term) are no longer sacred, having lost their essence, power, and inspiration. Tolle himself is now the ultimate interpreter of all things spiritual. Tolle’s words, not Christ’s, “contain a great deal of spiritual power.” Tolle’s books, not the Bible, are “spiritually alive.”
The Oprah/Tolle doctrine says that God the Father is a worn-out phrase disguising the true “it” behind all things: “universal intelligence,” in and of which, Tolle and Oprah imagine they partake abundantly. Jesus Christ is not the Son of God, but rather a “rare” human being, in contrast to the stoic Roman emperor, Marcus Aurelius, whom Tolle describes as an “exceedingly rare” human being. The second coming of Christ is not at all what the scriptures describe, but rather “the transformation of human consciousness, a shift from time to presence, from thinking to pure consciousness, not the arrival of some man or woman.” According to Tolle, when Christ spoke of “salvation,” He actually meant “enlightenment,” more specifically, the “radical transformation of human consciousness.” More Here...
Wow, I knew Oprah was 'way out in space, but I couldn't even imagine this!
Wasn't it Oprah who said something about the idea of there being only one way to God was abhorrent? My response to that is, what's the problem, since that one way is open to any who chose to take it?

Well, if that isn't the best kept secret. Using her marketing genius and savvy as well as her powerful position to lead people straight to hell.
What a shame. I will say I have thought lately (it's only been a feeling) that she is starting to fade away...I just didn't think it was this. The next Scientology? It seems to me that she will attract enough people both regular everyday types as well as the celebreties looking for the next chic "religion".
I wanted to see this for myself not just the article. There was someone who responded to that article saying that it is unsubstantiated. From what I can tell on her site to sign up for the classes it is true.
I would now say that she planned very carefully to have bamma on her show early enough so that later she would be able to say what she's saying now about why she won't have any other candidate opposing him on.
These celebrity goobs always become their own gods. I wonder if Davey, the troll from a bit back, was tolle, or tollish anyway.
That tolle guy is creepy. Oprah has always been annoying to me, now she has surpassed creepiness too.
I would say they are anti-religion, not just anti-Christian, although I would not doubt if their main focus/true agenda was opposing Christianity. tolle's philosophies are designed to pull people away from truths that come from God.

Science and religion are both about God's creation. Science interprets what, religion interprets why.
Opray lost any and all respect when she went on her Spiritual mumbo jumbo journey. Opray denys Christ, has an obvious love affair with the teachings of Eckhart Tolle and then she endorses the Messiah,Obama and stumps for him. Her ratings are reflecting these decisions. Her show will be nothing more than a glorified Jerry Springer show in a few years. I love watching her implode.
It won't go Jerry Springer. She went away from that years ago. She truly believes in this Tolle guy. If you look at her website and her online classes it is clear what she is doing. She believes that she and Tolle are going to help you with your own "awakening."
Yes, she denies God. She actually makes it clear that she and Tolle will bring about a "new earth". She has stated that she belives bamma has been "awakened" too. she talks about having found "her truth".
How she denies and is trying to replace God.
1. God said He will create a new earth. She believes she is going to do that for Him.
2. God does not exist as we have come to think. Tolle is now God. he had a traumatic event in his life and was awakened to find out that he IS God. Some people used to be put in the mental ward for that kind of thing.
3. Oprah believes in her truth. She believes the Tolle/Oprah doctrine is the truth and replaces anything you have ever been "told" to believe.
4. She will teach you how to perform your own miracles. You do not need the God you have been brainwashed to believe in.
The list goes on and on. This Tolle/Oprah doctrine is much more than New age. It is the starting of a new cult. One that I feel in my gut is not going to make it. Funny thing, years ago I did watch Oprah. one big thing I learned was to trust my instinct and know that often times our gut feelings are God speaking to us. My "gut feeling" on this issue is God speaking to me. Warning me to be aware of imposters. Also, telling me that her new religion is going to fail very badly and soon. If people start talking more about it she will profit from it in the short term. In the long term though i think most people will see that she has lost her mind and run from it. In the end she is going to be very humbled as her empire deteriorates.
I dunno; Satan is very powerful, and with so many people turning their backs on God these days, it is amazing what Satan can deceive them with.

If Christ was merely a "special person" like Tolle is, He would have called on some influential celebrities of the time to be His disciples, not a bunch of fishermen.
He then would have gained popularity, and they never would have crucified Him.
