    teacher fired in Britain

Teacher Claims He Was Fired After Complaining Muslim Pupils Called 9/11 Hijackers 'Heroes' - International News | News of the World | Middle East News | Europe News - FOXNews.com

So a teacher was fired in Britain because he would not tolerate his students calling 9/11 hijackers "heroes" and Muslim extremists "martyrs".

"the Christians and Jews are our enemies, you too because you're a Christian,"

I'll tell you this. As a teacher, and with the power to hit my students, they'd be sent home with numerous welts if they spoke such hate speech in my class. That includes if the words Christians and Muslims were changed in the above sentence. Drummond, I have to ask, what is going on in Britain where it is ok to spew this drivel and there is no recourse for a teacher to discipline absolutely unacceptable behavior?

Looks like Great Britain is going down the same destructive path that we're on when it comes to schooling.

    Hi folks.

I'm having trouble opening the Fox News link right now .. maybe I'll be more certain of this story later on. But .. right now, I have to say this one got completely past me.

Doing research, I found this in the Daily Mail, which I'm taking to be the same story .. ??

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...ls-aged-8.html

A teacher claims he has been sacked for reprimanding pupils who made racist remarks about his being a Christian.

Nicholas Kafouris said he lost his £30,000-a-year post because he would not tolerate the 'openly racist' behaviour of pupils as young as eight.

He said the predominantly Muslim youngsters openly praised Islamic extremists in class, and hailed the September 11 terrorists as 'heroes and martyrs'.

Greek-born Mr Kafouris, 40, taught for more than ten years at Bigland Green Primary in Tower Hamlets, East London, where according to the most recent Ofsted report 'almost all' the 465 pupils are from ethnic minorities and a vast proportion do not speak English as a first language.

He is taking the school, its headmistress and assistant head to an employment tribunal where he will claim he was forced out after highlighting the rise in racism among pupils.

In 2006, said Mr Kafouris, he brushed against a boy while giving him a book.
'He said rather brusquely to me, "Don't touch me, you're a Christian". I found this very offensive.'

Later that year, he said children aged eight and nine in his class praised the suicide bombers in the 9/11 attacks.

'In late November and December 2006, many various unacceptable and openly racist, anti-Semitic and anti-Christian remarks were being made by many and various children in Year 4,' he said.

'These included, "We want to be Islamic bombers when we grow up", "the Twin Towers bombers are heroes and martyrs", "we hate the Jews" and "we hate the Christians".'

And in January 2007, he claims some pupils 'expressed delight' that a child had died when a wall collapsed on him in London.

When asked why, he said one of the children replied: 'Because he's English.' The following month, during a religious education lesson about Jonah and the whale, he claims one of the pupils asked if Jonah was a Jew, before shouting: 'I hate the Jews, they're our enemies.'
I really don't know what to say to you, to be honest. Political correctness has long since 'gone mad' in the UK .. courtesy of our Socialists. None of this surprises me.

... what is going on ? Simple .. we have Socialists ruling us ...

I daresay I could find other stories like this if I put my mind to it. But .. adding this to the mix ...

Express.co.uk - Home of the Daily and Sunday Express | Express Comment :: Nobody should be above the law on religious grounds

[This is a comment-piece dated today, from the Express. Selected quotes ..]

WHO would run a school in modern Britain? On the one hand you are faced with the grave responsibility of trying to protect children from the menace of knife crime.

On the other hand try to ban pupils from bringing knives into school and you face the full wrath of the religious discrimination industry.

Governors at Compton School in Barnet felt they were being perfectly reasonable when a 14-year-old boy insisted on coming into school with a five-inch curved dagger strapped to his clothing: they told him to remove it and when he refused to do so they banished him from the premises.

What they hadn’t reckoned with was the passion generated by the kirpan, a ceremonial dagger that is one of the five articles of faith worn by Sikhs. At the weekend the boy won the backing of Sir Mota Singh, Britain’s first Asian judge, who demanded that schools throughout Britain accept the right of Sikh schoolchildren to wear the daggers.

So far the government has tried to keep out of the debate over the kirpan: the Department for Children, Schools and Families said yesterday that it was up to individual schools as to whether they allow pupils to wear the daggers or not. But we know which way the government leans on issues of religious discrimination.

It has passed aggressive laws which threaten employers with punitive damages should they refuse to consider an employee’s demand for a prayer room, or if they inadvertently hold an important meeting on the day of a religious festival. The laws allowed a Muslim cook to sue the Metropolitan Police on the grounds that he was expected to serve pork sausages.

It was Cherie Blair, in her capacity as a judge at the Inner London Crown Court last week, who took the lunacy to new heights. Sentencing a devout Muslim who had broken a man’s jaw in an unprovoked attack in a queue at a bank in the east end she stated: “I am going to suspend this sentence for the period of two years based on the fact that you are a religious person and have not been in trouble before.”

By implication an atheist thug would have deserved to go straight to prison. No wonder the national Secular Society has lodged an official complaint. It is outrageous that there should be one law for the religious and another for unbelievers. That applies, too, to the creeping introduction of sharia law into Britain.
.. yes. That definitely IS Cherie Blair, Tony Blair's wife.

    Ain't Socialism 'wonderful' .. ????

    Need I say more ?

Wait Wait Wait, your school's allow WEAPONS to be worn because of some ceremonial worth? Your country, no offense, is giving me a headache and giving me blood pressure problems.

England and many other Euro countries are starting to feel and hate the huge level of Muslim power around them. They let them in and catered to them and now many are not happy about it. I dare say that teacher is one of many. He's jsut the first to actually say something about it.
Now even fewer will speak up in fear of becoming un-employed.
Honestly though that teacher would not like teaching here in the states. Maybe the Muslim children do not respect the teachers but overall rude students are not allowed to get away with it. Only the Muslim ones I guess.

I may be sending my kids to England for the next few school yrs. They may end finishing school there because of the high standards in their system. Unfortunately yes the Muslim communities do have a lot of power and stranglehold on a lot of things around there. argh...I don't think many people will tollerate it for too much longer though. Just from what I am seeing and hearing.

Sooo you have the right to wear a knife to school for religious reasons but not a right to own a gun at all?

That country needs liberated, and so does the US. Even more so than Sudan or North Korea, their people realize what they are living under and don't rebel but these zombies don't have a clue.
ubama = usurper obama. It is closer to the proper Kenyan pronunciation, and since he isn't legitimately president, usurper is his title.

Answering in order .. yes, and BASICALLY yes, though exceptions can occur.

We do have a gun licensing system, though I've no idea how one qualifies for a bona fide right to own a gun (it must be very difficult to arrange). Needless to say, gun ownership is a rarity here.

-- Hah ! Tell me about it ...

Nicely put. I have to agree.

Bear in mind, though, that when you live in a country where personal gun ownership is nearly unknown .. then the law-abiding and average citizen gets used to feeling disempowered, and looks to the State to apply force when that force is called for.

Tony Martin was a farmer who owned a shotgun and used it to defend his property .. but .. it wasn't licensed. Because he used it on a couple of burglars, and given the injuries the invaders suffered .. he found himself subject to much harsher penalties in law than the burglars did !! Your own Charlton Heston at one point offered his support of Mr Martin in his ongoing battles with our authorities.

Why do you imagine that your Lefties would prefer to crack down on gun ownership ? Left-wing regimes are all about disempowerment of the individual and creating a dependence culture. This, to a Leftie, is paradise ...

I mention the Tony Martin case above. Here's a 'timeline' link, detailing what Mr Martin suffered at the hands of our legal system, for defending his property.
