Welcome and good luck! I hope your journey into politics treats you kindly.
    GO OHIO STATE BUCKEYES!

"Above all, we must realize that no arsenal, or no weapon in the arsenals of the world, is so formidable as the will and moral courage of free men and women. It is a weapon our adversaries in today's world do not have."

Thank you all. Preaching to the choir here, but there is simply no excuse for what we are seeing in our Republic today. Ineptitude, imcompetency and idiocy from our Congress and from the oval office. If people are not fired up enough, not angry enough, not determined enough to go vote these charlatans out then we are in big time trouble. Obama needs to give McChrystal the troops he needs NOW or pull us all out. I favor all or nothing. Anything else is playing politics with our troops and they deserve better. Health care has been in state of emergency according to government for 40 years. The first thing that must be fixed is our ridiculous tax code. It's the train that pulls all the other cars. We have to scrap it and go to either the flat tax or fair tax. We have to stop spending and stop borrowing. We have to cut the corporate tax rate (35% and second highest in the world) and bring back businesses that left America and their jobs. The ways to fix these problems is simple. The problem is, as you all know, politicians. They're concerned not about us but about their power and prestige. Enough. Start finding candidates who revere our Constitution and our liberties. Support them. If you don't, we will perish. Our Founding Fathers warned us over and over and look what we have done. We have elected a socialist who is running us aground. Saul Alinsky was not one of the signers of the Constitution. The power resides with us. Let's use it.

Hey Andy good luck in your endeavours, and God speed. Win, lose or draw, people like you are stepping up against tremendous odds to right what is wrong in this nation. This ground swell of opposition is growing daily against our Cloward-Piven government that has attempted to overthrow this nation from within. Liberty will prevail, the question now is what the cost will be. How long will the drought continue before The Tree Of Liberty need be watered to sustain it's life?

Our Founding Fathers and even Abraham Lincoln wondered how long it would take before God's justice would visit us. I have to wonder the same thing when I see this administration and their disdain for the Constitution. I believe, as a lot of folks do, that it is an inspired document and the marvel of the world. I believe our founders were inspired men and conduits for what God wanted put on that paper. Benjamin Franklin wondered how it could be that if not even a sparrow could fall without God's notice, how this Republic was raised without his handiwork. They must be spinning in their graves and looking on from the eternities with disgust. We have to fix this, folks. We have to fix it now.

Mr. Goss, I'm sorry, but I disagree with the above statement which I emboldened.
Yes, it does need attention, and I hope it will be addressed with as much fervor as the Healthcare bill. But what is killing this country is CORRUPTION.
When a Senator can blackmail Congress to the tune of 300,000,000 bucks in pork, and no one says a word, including you and the other Pubbies out there, it appears to be corrupt. Even you think the tax code is more important than Congressional integrity.
All the stimulus amounted to was a blank check for Obamboozle and his cronies to pay recompense to their supporters for getting them elected. 9000 earmarks? Ridiculous. I would like to know how much we pay in pork compared to the yearly deficit.
We have common criminals walking around free while this administration attempts to villify Bush's guys.
We are a party that believes in personal responsibility. Congress has become so corrupt, that the Mexican Government is seeking our how to guide to Gov't. corruption.
This past election was bought. 1 billion dollars to secure a 400,000 dollar/year job? WTF?
TIDES, SEIU, ACORN, are all corrupt entities stealing our tax dollars. 3 dozen czars at 170,000/year each? 5.5 million/year to let Communists and Marxists in the President's ear.
Unconstitutional resolutions and bills, government where it doesn't belong, earmarks and lies are all we expect from Congress. And that's all we get.
My question is, "Will you promise to attack Congressional Corruption, return to Constitutional rule, reform corrupt policies such as donations from lobbyists and Corporations, earmarks, and undo unconstitutional bills and laws?
If not, what will you do?

Tiny1, in answer to the question you posed at the bottom of your comment, yes, I will. I have a frame with a paper in it that I carry with me to all my events which outlines some specific pledges I have made in addition to the ones I agreed to in the 9-12 group. I won't tolerate lobbyists and I will expose anyone regardless of party affiliation who works to circumvent our Constitution and acts in a manner that is illegal. That is one of the main reasons I want to slash my salary and the rest of the 434 serving in both houses of Congress (most are wealthy anyway) and build a barracks or dormitory or apartment for us all to live in. I want to start taking away the power lobbyists have over government. 1 out of every 6 private sector employees in DC work for lobbyists. I've never run for office before, never held office before. I'm a regular guy with a wife and kids and mortgage. But, I live within my means and I expect government to do the same. I outline reforming the tax code because I think it pretty much goes without saying we expect integrity and accountability from Congress. The tax code is where most of the abuses from Congress occur, also. There are a few that are doing a good job that I'd like to work with. So, sure, exposing corruption and all that is on my list. The first step to doing that is electing the right people. I feel I am one of those people. Like most conservatives, I believe I understand the role of government and will act accordingly. This doesn't have to be astrophysics. By small and simple things, great things are brought to pass.

Andy, I wish you all the luck. You seem to be exactly what this country needs at this critical time in our history.
