So let me try to play the victim card. I read the newspaper and watch the news (yes yes I'm a terrible person). This is what I hear, OK?

And I write like this because, well, that's who I am. I'm an educated middle class skilled worker. I live in a red state, I vote republican maybe 90% of the time, and I was quite happy when I found out my representative voted against the bailout yesterday. Why does me disliking McCain's VP choice = stealth democrat? That's stupid. I vote for who I think will do a good job, not the R next to their name like you.

So whatever, keep high fiving yourselves, maybe I'll vote libertarian to spite you or something.

I'm going to come out and say it, I think she's horribly unqualified and I think people who disagree are fooling themselves. Maybe she'd do fine as VP. Maybe she'd even do great as president. But there's no data to support this hypothesis!

Yes, the same can be said of Obama, which is partly why I want McCain to be president. But just because the dems feel like it's OK to put a newbie in office doesn't mean it's OK for us!!

The Founding Fathers set up the system for everyday Americans to run the Country for a few years then go back to their life. George Washington held no office before the Presidency. Abraham Lincoln spent 2 years in the House before being elected to the Presidency, Eisenhower was not elected to any office other then the President, Theodore Roosevelt was a Governor for 2 years before being elected to office. FDR was only a Governor for only 4 years, Grant's only office was President. A huge part of the problem with this country is that we keep electing career politicians to office. Politics should never be a career, everyone that has made a career of it is beholding to some lobby.

I try to be scientific, rational. Obama says he will do things like reduce taxes, but the data (his voting records) doesn't support this.
The data on Palin says she'll support earmarks if they're popular. It says she'll impose loyalty tests. It says she'll try to ban books. We're America! Banning books in a public library is anti-freedom to me. People talk about integrity and values but whatever happened to intelligence? Isn't the combination of both why we picked McCain? Why is it suddenly that only one of them enough? Why did we lower our standards like the democrats did?

Book banning? Come on man, that lie has been laid to rest a few times. Half the books on the list of lies were not even published when she tried to "ban them". IT NEVER HAPPENED. What is your data for a loyalty test? Is it that she took on a corrupt GOP? I love that she took on members of her own party that are corrupt. Thats the very defenition of integrity. MCCain Feigngold sure is a shining example of integrity. The only thing that bill was designed to do is keep those with power in power.

Palin says she can stand up to anything, but she can't stand up to Katie Couric in an interview without bumbling around. In contrast, Putin's a friggin scary guy, honestly McCain is probably the only politician who can put him in his place. I would be petrified if Palin needed to meet with Putin, especially in anything less than cordial terms. Call me sexist if you want, but she hasn't had a single dialogue which made me confident that she knew what she was talking about.

Taking on big oil and her own party is standing up for so much more then McCain has stood up for in the last 20 years.

Oh noes a slip up in an interview. We should abandon every single canidate that ever has a bumbling moment. Its not like McCain, Barry or Biden has ever had a slip up? So whats McCain done to put Putin in his place so far? is that a cricket I hear?

I really hate the term Maverick but I almost wish McCain could take it literally and go into the White House by himself.

The only reason Conservatives will vote for McCain is because of Palin, without us Conservatives McCain doesn't have a chance. Personally I wish he would step aside and let Palin have the Presidential Nomination.
