Take a look at this url....
County Results - Election Center 2008 - Elections & Politics from CNN.com
Obama won about TWENTY of the 95 Counties in the Commonwealth. What I don't get, though, is how he did so well in the independent cities in VA. McCain barely took Lynchburg, the hometown of Dr. Jerry Falwell, and Obama took Lexington, the home of Stonewall Jackson and VMI, by a huge margin. I would have thought with that history and military population that Obama wouldn't have had a prayer there...

Well, Virginia's electoral college votes are not divided by counties, so it doesn't matter if it was only 20 counties. It was the majority of the people in the state.
And i think Colin Powell's endorsement of Obama was a huge influence on the military industrial complex that lives in Virginia. Combine that with the general majority that feels the Iraq War was a mistake, and you have a Red state turn Blue.
Let's see if McCauliff can capitalize on the Democrats' regional momentum.

You don't really add a lot to the conversation, do you? Just ambiguous, unsupported flames and jokes. You've replied to every one of my posts the same way.
Why don't you try telling me why New England is crappy and what McCauliff's hours-old campaign has said that makes you think he will do to enact the New England crappiness.
I like to discuss these things, but give me something to discuss, Candy Girl, other than your command of the very descriptive word "crappy."

All you do is make stupid statements, and criticize everyone else.

Right... you are so totally not looking to pick a verbal fight as an excuse to spout out more of your leftist BS... I'm am positive that something I can post here will actually make you pause and consider that you are wrong and change your mind about something. /sarcasm

Honestly, I thought that was the point. What fun is there for you if everyone agrees with each other. That's the discussion part of discussion boards. I don't mean to offend -- just disagree. I have no delusions that I'm changing anyone's opinion here.
One man's BS is another man's sushi. Isn't it great?

You don't mean to offend by calling everybody who doesn't think like you do stupid?

I never once called anyone stupid. Yes, I disagreed with many, but never called anyone a name.
I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings, Candygirl.

You haven't hurt my feelings but you haven't provided anything useful on here.
You can't stand the fact that every place where liberals are a majority, the place is a craphole.
