Wow. I think you posted the wrong link, but damn, why would they do that?
Edit: I think this is what you meant to link.
Heh, I thought you were talking about Michelle Obama.

well the link about atheists and Christmas brought up an issue I was mad about ( the attack on that Church during sunday services )
But the link on Malkin talking about mccain is interesting too
I still say( after looking back over the primaries and the election's conduct ) that mccain was a sham candidate who had no intention of winning and the pick of Palin was something his people expected to sink his chances to nill which backfired.
She is being attacked because of her potential to come back in 2012 and win.

I have heard other people say the same thing about McCain being a sham candidate. Very interesting theory...why do you think a better republican candidate was not nominated?
I would love to see Palin run in 2012...I am not sure how well she would do, but I know I would vote for her!!!

a better candidate for the republicans was not nominated because of the ability of democrats and independents to vote in republican primaries throughout a lot of the states.
They did so and picked the candidate least likely ( or in cahoots and planning to lose) win against Obama.
It was easy with the mainstream press and media behind smears of likely candidates
notice no real slams against Mccain were done until after his nomination
But they pounded Romney and Huckabee.

hmmm...I didn't know that in other states your vote could cross party lines in the primaries.
Although I liked Huckabee, I don't think he would have had much of a chance...but I do believe that Romney would have done well...if we could just turn back time!
I agree with you that Palin was a backfire! She really energized alot of people and made them interested in politics again!!!

In some states you can cross over. Ohio is one of them, and when I was working in a suburb of Cleveland in 2000, I heard 2 liberals saying they were going to cross over & vote for McCain, because he was less electable than Bush. In other states, people probably just changed their registations to vote for McCain. He certainly proved to be a weak candidate.

hmmm...wow...the lengths people will go to. when the primaries were going on, my own opinion was that I wanted Obama to get the nomination cause I thought Hillary would be to strong of a candidate to beat and I just couldn't imagine that Obama had a chance...guess I was WRONG!
