A refresher on the timeline: Sources told the NYT this would happen as far back as November 24, prompting a formal denial by Fox exec Bill Shine the next day followed by a shot across the bow from an unnamed FNC “insider” who insisted, “Hannity cannot carry the show alone for an hour like O’Reilly.” I wonder if it was a fait accompli all along and they were just jerking us around for whatever reason or if they were honestly skeptical of the idea and needed time to test out the new format until they felt comfortable with it.

TVNewser has learned Fox News will debut a new program at 9pmET, entitled “Hannity,” featuring Sean Hannity as host. The program premieres January 12.
“Hannity” will include a “Great American Panel” of three nightly in studio guests — a liberal, a conservative and an “X factor.” The show will mix commentary, interviews and special segment like a “Hate Hannity Hotline.”

I think this format will be successful for Hannity. It will be like an O'Reilly or Glen Beck style show and have a panel similar to RedEye (with the maturity level being a lot higher). I love Hannity, but I feel sometimes he couldn't stop talking long enough for anyone else to get a word in, even the conservative guest for that segment. So, he should have no trouble carrying the show by himself without Colmes. He probably wouldn't even need guests or a panel.

I think it will be a good show and I will watch it.

I seldom watch Hannity and Colms bcause of Colms and his stupid comments.

Hannity used toi be more forceful but now he lets Colns run trhe show many days it seems and I realy do not want to hear Colms and his liberal games.

If Hannity gets that focus back I will probably watch more of him.

I quit watching fox because of Hannity, and will change my car radio station when he comes on. He really gets on my nerves because I cant stand fake people.

I haven't listened to him much (never watched), but I did find him irritating at times. I heard him once when he interviewed Mike Farrell (a complete idiot), and he wouldn't let Mike complete anything he was saying. He didn't need to keep interrupting him to make him look bad - Farrell was doing the job fine all by himself!
