Sarah Palin knows drug dealers
(Sarah Palin likes to play "guilt by association"; so is it fair call her guilty of misconduct by knowing a meth addict/distributor? I don't think so, but Sarah Palin would if a political opponent were in the same situation. —the enfusiator)
Levi Johnston's mom arrested on drug charges
Johnston is the father of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's future grandson
The mother of Levi Johnston, the 18-year-old boyfriend of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's teenage daughter, has been arrested on drug charges, the Anchorage Daily News reported Friday.
Sherry L. Johnston, 42, has been charged with six felony counts of misconduct, the newspaper reported.
Levi Johnston entered the national spotlight this autumn when it was revealed that 18-year-old Bristol Palin — the eldest daughter of Sarah Palin, who had just been tapped as then-Republican presidential nominee John McCain's running mate — was pregnant with his child.
The baby is due Saturday, the Anchorage Daily News reported.
The paper said that Alaska State Troopers charged Sherry Johnston with second-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance and fourth-degree misconduct involving controlled substances, or possession.
Sherry Johnston has been released on a $5,000 bond, the newspaper reported.
Contacted by the Anchorage Daily News, Palin's spokesman, Bill McAllister, issued this statement: "This is not a state government matter. Therefore the governor's communications staff will not be providing comment or scheduling interview opportunities."

I think it's a ridiculous idea myself, but it illustrates how ridiculous "guilt-by-association" rhetoric is. I believe Karl Rove would spin it into a headline like, "Palin's Daughter to Marry into Drug Cartel," if she were a political opponent. He would *demand* how much she knew of her daughter's future in-laws activities and use it as a soundbyte in political ads.

I second that.
Also wheres his link. With all the Palinbashing thats in fashion some is clearly made up. I'd like to see the police report. Interviews with the arresting officers. And court records. Because if this were true you know all of that stuff would be linked and on CNBC.

hmmm...my brother is a druggie, but it doesn't make me one. I don't think the comparison of Palin's future inlaw being involved in drugs can be compared with say Obama choosing to associate with Ayers, Farenkahn (sp?), etc. Palin didn't choose to associate with her daughter's future mother-in-law. Seems like a big difference. If say Obama's brother-in-law were arrested for drugs, I wouldn't see that as a reflection on Obama, but the associates that Obama chooses to have dealings with is a different story.

Good point fish. Obama chose Wright and Ayres. Palin did not arrange the marriage between Johnson and her daughter.

What a moron. For one thing, I've never heard of Sarah Palin going after anyone on association (I'll concede the possibility that I've missed it). Certainly not by such a tenuous association (I won't concede jack here). This is a stupid tit-for-tat game that has little or no basis for fact, and doesn't belong in Late Breaking News.

First of all, I find this questionable at best, and second, in case you missed it (you seem to have), Sarah Palin's name is not Karl Rove.

Well, of course not; why should the opinions of your betters matter to you...
