The Washington DC radio station calling itself Obama 1260 and featuring liberal talk stalwarts Bill Press, Ed Schultz, and Stephanie Miller has given up the ghost already, a victim of undetectable ratings. Howard Kurtz notes that not all political radio has that problem

Liberal talk radio cannot compete with conservative talk radio because the liberals need the fancy images they see on TV to keep their attention. Conservative talk radio hosts us facts to back up their statements and ideas. Liberal talk radio hosts go off on emotional rants that leave the listener wondering if this angry person on the radio really hates George Bush that much or is it just easier to blame someone else for their miserable existence.

You know that is a good point. Liberals are so much more into appearances instead of substance. You could be right that it's a factor in radio.

Liberals are about emotional sensationalism. They feel instead of think. Facts and the logical consequences to acting upon feelings usually run contrary to feelings.
