I make our colloidal silver and we have been taking it daily for over 5 years ... knock on wood ... we haven't had the flu in 5 years. Now you don't want to overdose on this because it will turn your skin blue! I guess that is where they got the term "blue blood" for the wealthy.

My immune system is screwed up due to a chronic kidney ailment and I used to be able to catch everything. My sister-in-law has her degree in holistic medicine and she suggested that I use it. I haven't had any problems or side effects from it. You can also use it on cuts and scrapes to keep out infection or use it to get rid of one should one develop.

I'd like to make my own but so far i've not tried that. I'm a little worried about the blue skin. It's irreversible.

What stength do you use may i ask?

It isn't just the fact of outbreak and spread that's the concern. Flu strains sometimes mutate as well (remember the concern about how Bird Flu could mutate into a form that killed human beings ?).

We're hearing that outbreaks that have occurred outside of Mexico have not (as yet) led to people suffering from severe symptoms. But our health authority says that even if this remains true for current cases, a mutation of the strain could make it more deadly in weeks to come.

If you get early symptoms, then Tamiflu is apparently a good antibiotic against it .. but anyone delaying getting their treatment will find that tamiflu decreases in effectiveness the longer you wait.
