I'm disgusted at the people who call themselves pro-life then rejoice at a death.

Frankly, although you may not have intended it this way, that calling-pro-lifers-on-other-death-issues is routinely used by liberals as a red herring. They sieze on the term "pro-life" without making allowance for the reasons behind it (which they good and well know), and try to claim hypocrisy through their obfuscation. It's a pretty basic thing that when most conservatives say "pro-life," they mean pro-innocent-life.

Under certain circumstances, yes.

But murder is not addressed by the Constitution or the Bill of Rights. Anyway, he is not alone among conservatives, and I'm not referring to libertarian Republicans. There is a widespread belief, based on the words in the document, that powers not specifically granted to Congress are reserved to the states. That the federal government intrudes time and again is not a justification for further intrusion where it is not authorized.

Actually, I think that the 5th Amendment does with its prohibition on the deprivation of "life, liberty and property without due process of law."
