ObamaCare Speech

Surprisingly, I cannot find a thread opened on the topic of his speech (link to text). So I'll offer mine, from the perspective of a left-wing Democrat.

I read the speech and am totally nauseauted. Its contents are bogus (note the website version makes a point of showing that there was a voice from the audience calling him a liar) and out and out lies. Uncapped insurance has to be paid for by someone; guess who?

That being said, maybe he does have some firm convictions, however misguided and wrong. I respect a person who goes jaw to jaw with me even if we totally disagree as opposed to a finger in the wind type.
I do not think these proposals will pass. I pray to G-d they won't.

Wanna know when someone's opinion on the issue counts for diddly squat? When they state that they know it's garbage, but begin the sentence with 'i never read it'. What a joke

I read/skimmed it about an hour before he gave it..didn't watch I have no desire to watch him give speechs anymore.

Its a hyperbole filled partisan Obama speech.

He even went after Palin(not by name but issue she framed nicely.. ..though the WH spent alot of today attacking her)..you know the lady whose not effective at all according to him and his type...lol

Take a miracle for his media to spin this as anything more then a flop and have anyone but Obama's blind supporters to buy it.

Tonights speech proves that Obama still thinks he can lie with impunity.

Someone should tell him that the 95% of news outlets that will never call him out on his lies are only patronized by 20% of Americans.

But it actually works out better for America if he never figures that out.

Well the floor is yours. I would like you to outline the specific lies told by obama in this speech, and obviously back them up with evidence.

I made it about 15 min's or so into his little chat before the TV was in danger of being in need of health care. From what I saw, his number of uninsured is still inflated. Please don't fine those that opt out of playing this game. It can't be a self funded system the way he describes, raising taxes some where some how is going to come at us. Mr. President I challenge you to put this all in writing(the whole plan, tax increases, penalties and all) and actually give people a chance to read your plan before your minions shove it through.

The poor woman is not even running or a governor any more but you know how thin skined Obama is.

“You know, I have to say that I am not familiar with the provision you are talking about.” This is a truly disturbing admission by the President, especially considering that later in the call, Obama promises yet again: “If you have health insurance, and you like it, and you have a doctor that you like, then you can keep it. Period.”
