The highway bill that started the entire interstate system was only 25 pages long! Something like this would be long over due. Odds of it happening, 0!
Government is not reason, it is not eloquence, it is force; like fire, a troublesome servant and a fearful master. Never for a moment should it be left to irresponsible action. - George Washington

I've long been in favor of a similar concept. I think that in order to propose a bill you should have to stand before Congress and read the entire thing aloud without breaks, sitting down, etc.
But yeah, what he wrote there is a great idea.

I'd love to see that mousey-looking guy from California read the Cap and Trade 1200 pages out loud. (Or Pelosi reading the stimulus).

This by far would be an awesome amendment... I vote, YES YES YES! No longer should laws be passed when congressmen refuse to read everything in a bill. I only wish our forefathers had enough foreknowledge to know how big a bill would get that this could've been the 11th or 12th amendment.

I think it's a great idea... something that is long past due. Maybe it can be slid in as a part of the congressional request that Obama made with regards to the "fine print" czar!!

Well, the trouble with our liberal friends is not that they are ignorant, but that they know so much that isn’t so.
