Yeah, it's a good tear jerker. I don't care who you are. And, to see him performing live to a small audience in one family's honor. I have chills.

I like TK because he gets it. I saw an interview with him where he said he was against the War in Iraq, but since we were there we better win it. He goes and does what he does best to help achieve that goal..
Now if the Dixie Twits had done something along those lines, I might still have some respect for them, but to say you're ashamed to be an American, or from Texas, because of the war.....that's just wrong...Last edited by Newman; 09-09-2008 at 09:23 AM.

Dixie Twits (that's well put) are pretty much history now days aren't they? Thank goodness.
Now, that British twit (have no idea who the ugly mug is) hosting the MVA on MTv went on a little rant about hoping we will put Obamma in?! Oh brother. What makes them think we care what they think?
It's really funny how they think we should care about their opinion so much. Even my ex is the same way. When I picked my girls up from the airport after their summer with him and his family in England he started going on about Bamma. That was stupid of him. He knew better. His first comment was about watching Bamma's amazing speech. Then started with the crap about how amazing it is to see the way people over there view us and what we do. His typical old stuff about how much more enlightened they are because they don't live here. I shut it down pretty quick. This was the day after Palin was announced and I was on a bit of high and not going to listen to the Euro crap. My first statement was to let him know that I don't care about their advice. They do not have our best interest in mind. Which is fine because we don't have their best interest inmind either .So, they can keep their thoughts and "advice" to themselves. Also, went on a little rant to him about how much of an ass Bamma was to go over their campaigning. No other candidate has ever done that that I know of. What was he thinking doing that? At least my ex quickly remembered what he hated most about us being together! And, he dropped the subject quickly.

Funny thing is also that my ex is conservative with Christian values and prefers Repubs on business issues too. He just has socialist tendencies still engrained in him though. And, this strange desire to play devil's advocate so much that he would vote Dem just because they are so "enlightened".
Thank goodness he is only permanent resident here and can not vote here! LOL

Socialist brainwash..I mean upbringing.
At the end of the day it's about helping the "poor" little guys that just "can't" help themselves. It's about the belief that the govt knows how to help the helpless better than we as individuals do. As if any governing entity has more heart than we the people do.
