If that was my kid I would of probably did a lot more then try to get that 'woman' fired. She had no business pressing her political views on that girl. That is her parents business. They should mandate a law against injecting politics in schools with the exception to history classes but require all teachers to have to be the middle ground. When I attended college I remember with clarity the students who couldn't cut it academically gravitated towards a teaching credential - where your attitude mattered more than your abilities. Remember - these are the students who failed in a behavioral science degree program = feel the right way and care and be capable of writing a sentence or two. Do community work for the majority of your credits and WALLAH! You be ed-jew-ka-ted.
It is in the classrooms where this mess began. It must end there. Parents complain complain complain. Demand your children be taught by a non-partisan. NO - a promise to not do it again is not enuff. Form a group and get in their faces.
