This is a tough one for me. I do not like government interfering in private citizens lives but I firmly believe that every child should have a mother and a father in their lives. I also believe that the family model of a mother and father having children should be conserved. I definitely disagree with the federal government getting involved with legislation but don't object for states to make laws. I make this exception because I think it harmful for children to not have a mother and a father. For a gay couple to willingly do this to a child is immoral.

I say, yes, the GOP should oppose gay adoption. It should oppose gay marriage as well. The umbrella getting too big and taking in all sorts of values waters down the base. Too many liberals, moderates and RINOs have become prominent in the party.

It was bad enough to have pro-abortion Republicans speak at conventions, although they didn't address abortion. It still sends a message the party tolerates and accepts social liberalism of party members. Colin Powell wanted to address abortion rights when he spoke at the 96 convention, but didn't, and we see how we were repaid.

Even though I don't like RINOs to be in the spolight, especially at our conventions, I understand not everyone will agree on everything and there needs to be individualism. Therefore, I can accept a moderate speaking at a convention, but the party needs to remain solidified by a conservative base. The party as a whole, overall, needs to have a conservative platform and take a stand.

We should not endorse the views of liberals, or endorse liberalism, no matter what party they are in, especially our own.

The G.O.P. needs to get back to cutting taxes, national defense, support for the military, support for clandestine operations, pro-family, pro-life, and the support of marriage consisting of being between one man and one woman and focus on support and tax incentives for in tact families.

Watering the base down does nothing but empower liberalism.
I agree. There are so many heterosexual couples how don't qaulify for adoption since the standadrs have always been high. So there is absolutely zero justification to allow gay couples to adopt.
