Probably the root of the most crooked politicians ever.

Oh, and enfusiator - that's great you had a good time. If I'm going to have to foot the bill for your entertainment, I'm glad you at least had a good time! /sarcasm

Oh, and let's not forget the perpetual losing sports teams Chicago puts out - Bears, Cubs - and that's saying something because I'm a Bears fan.

It's arguable that the residents of Chicago are amongst the most stupid in the country, thanks to the fantastic school system there, too!

The city is underwater in debt as well and the Olympics are going to fix it? Again - hahahahahahahahaha! Look how well that turned out for Beijing - it didn't. Property taxes are outrageous, sales taxes are outrageous, and a lot of great businesses hightailed it out of there long ago.

So freaking glad I live 2 hours west of the city. A nice place to visit if you're selective, but I've lived there and will never do that again.

Chicago may have once been great, but the fact that Obama passed through (he's not even from Illinois!) doesn't make it great. It makes it more used.

    /rant
This is particularly funny to me because Boeing relocated it's headquarters from here in Seattle to the windy city a few years back. Gives you an idea of the state of affairs in Seattle. lol

Personally, I've been to Chicago twice and thoroughly enjoyed each of my visits. I'd very much like to return. In fact, I'm planning on returning this fall when my beloved University of Washington Huskies play Notre Dame in South Bend.

I guess my quality of life is dependent on more than just politics, peapod. Whether or not the Olympics would benefit the city economically never crossed my mind. I just thought it would be fun to have the Olympics in my city. In fact, I think it would be awesome.

You should lighten up. The sun will still rise tomorrow -- even if Obama is president. Have some fun.

Also, you are right that the Cubs suck. They suck big time. My 2005 World Champion White Sox, on the other hand, have a World Series Trophy. Can't wait for Spring Training!

Let me thank you in advance if you wind up paying for my Nov. 4th party. It was worth it, though. Good times, good times.

I'm a diehard Irish fan. We should have a bet on the game. Ty Willingham returns.

Hey, I like taking the train into the city for stuff too, but the city is corrupt as hell.

It's just so ironic how dems can be so "proud" of Chicago - when there's one and a half centuries of overt corruptness. Heck, it's a joke around the world about how corrupt Chicago is.

When one hears "Chicago is corrupt", do they shake their head in agreement or do they say "I don't know what you're talking about!"

And this hornet's nest prodced Obama. Yippee.

Oh, and another one's about to fall - Ol' Roland Burris. Whackjob.

Oh. I take it you rent then. And don't do business of your own in the city.

for the life of me I can't figure out why fans would support such a crappy team (Cubs). The Cards are much better IMO.

    Bill's in the mail.

You have no idea how proud this city is that Obama calls Chicago home.

Haha. I love the Irish too! That's why I'm following my team there. I can't really lose! OK, I'd prefer to see the Huskies win. They've been such a sad lot in recent years, though. So, you'd have to spot me some major points to entice a bet.

As for Willingham, we fired his sorry ass after last season. lol

You're right there. I can't fathom how anyone could be proud of that train wreck. But you have at it. Enjoy the short time you have.
