CNN on Obama’s “swagga”



We all expect a bit of fluff from cable news considering they have 24 hours a day to fill and there are only so many events to be "rocked" by, but when we hit a point at which CNN is spending Obama's 100th day in office "assessing his swagga" something is amiss.
T.J. Holmes sat down with four men who were never identified by name or title (as if we weren't supposed to care about who they were, just that they were black) to talk about Obama's "swagga." They were sweet and did the best they could with such a ridiculous topic, but anchor Kyra Phillips was way over the top. She asked for the theme song to "Shaft" to be played, she talked about Obama's "flava" and she insisted on getting a fist bump at the end. Here are her choicest moments...

There's no bias at CNN?! The Zipper Woman stopped just short of becoming the female M and M, flashing some gang signs and burning some incense before an Obama statue. I wonder how she would look in a red N.Y. Yankees cap turned sideways with the price tag still on.

Reminds me a bit of something in a sci-fi book I have, a corrupt attorney with the unlikely name of "Mohammed Ali O'Brien" was described as the only man who could strut sitting down.

Do they realize that their ratings are down! I found this artical that made me laugh.

"The theory presented in the AP article (for which I tend to agree) is that CNN is still trying to be a politically neutral news network, whereas the other two have become more like opinion shows. With the news today being what it is, creating an "us vs. them" mentality is popular whether it's one political agenda or the other."

CNN ratings aren't what they used to be - TV Squad

Every once in awhile I read the comments to the articles and it usually makes me laugh when I see some left wing nut try to spin why their networks get so little response.

Oh yeah I am just as politically neutral as CNN
