1. July 4th, 1776 was the day that Humanity took it's first real step towards being Truly Free..
2. Liberty is an ideal....Something to speak of and hold up as something to aspire to....Freedom is the inspiration to pick up the rifle and march towards the sound of battle, knowing that you may die, and yet knowing deep in your chest that all people deserve to be Free

To me, this commemorates the signing of the Declaration of Independence in which our founding fathers risked much in order to declare independence from a despotic regime and stand in the face of tyranny and say enough is enough. I believe it is our duty to preserve these freedoms and to resist tyranny of an oppressive government. Ironically enough, Obama and Pelosi are tyrants to the same level as King George.
Liberty is to live without the oppressive arm of the government controlling various aspects of your life. Freedom is the God given gift granted to us in the founding of this great country, which allows us to live our lives, try to flourish, be all we can be, worship, own property, and live out from under despotism and tyranny.

Independence Day is the day I look back and remind myself that it is possible for men to rise up and take the Liberty that God endowed to them without apology or compromise.
Remembering that it happened once before gives me hope that someday American men will care enough about the world they leave behind to demand their God given freedom once again.
This is the part where some Liberal responds to my post by saying "you can't do that, they won't let you".

Steaks are great on the grill. For holidays in the summer, I always like to grill out. We are doing hamburgers today, and I may throw some brats on as well. We are going to eat and watch The Patriot, and then step out on the deck for fireworks.
We have had a lot of rain the past couple days, but the forecast should be pretty clear tonight.click below
