I'm just stating facts, there is no reason to get angry. You like Palin, I get it. Every politician has negatives. Mitt Romney flip-flopped, Tom Ridge is pro-choice, Condi Rice spoke with the palestinians, Sussan Collins is a moderate, Mike Huckabee gave benefits to the children of illegals, John McCain voted against the Bush tax cuts twice.

Heck, even Regan gave amnesty to illegals. I think Regan did a good job, but the point is, everyone has negatives. By telling me to "STFU", your just as bad as the media. The media doesn't tell the entire story. Neither is Palin. They are both at fault. McCain was the true victim of the media in last year's election. They loved him in 2000 when he ran as a maverick, but as soon as he supports the war in Iraq, its to hell with him. The media also fed the idea that McCain supported amnesty for illegals. McCain's bill DID have a guest worker program, but no amnesty. So, Palin wasn't the victim of the media, it was McCain.

Her plusses and minuses have been discussed to death on this forum. And I'll stop being "mean" to him if he stops slandering Palin.

The intellectual branch of the republican party (wallstreet, business etc.) polls consistently negative in regard to palin when compared to alternitives such as romney/huckabee. Clearly her appeal is extremely focused and lacks broad appeal even within the republican party (seriously take 5 min to go read some polls). She's hugely popular w/ the republican base, but makes little headway in moderate republicans... and if you wanna win elections, you need the whole kit'n'kaboodle.
