Lindsey Graham Calls Birthers "Crazy," Denounces Glenn Beck

I heard audio of Graham saying this today:

Describing Fox News host Glenn Beck as a "cynic" whose show is antithetical to American values, GOP Senator Lindsey Graham also characterized birthers as "crazy." Speaking at a conference in DC, Graham said, "Only in America can you make that much money crying," Graham said of Beck. "Glenn Beck is not aligned with any party. He is aligned with cynicism and there has always been a market for cynics. But we became a great nation not because we are a nation of cynics. We became a great nation because we are a nation of believers."

He actually went into greater detail on the hilarity of the birthers than Drudge reports.

Is this a sign of the more pragmatic Republicans trying to wrestle their party back?

It's a sign that pragmatic Republicans don't listen to the show much. Beck mentions the birther stuff only in passing these days. I'm sure Beck will only lose as much sleep over this as it takes time to stop laughing.

Lindsay Graham is crazy and out of touch with Americans. I'd give more credence to whatever Beck says before i'd believe a word out of the mouth of Graham. And lindsay talks like a sissy.

LOL. For once somebody from the GOP hit the nail on the head. The birthers ARE crazy. Glenn Beck is a disgusting traitor. To use 9/11 as a launch pad for his idiotic 9/12 demonstration proves what an attention grabbing, low life piece of bowel movement that guy is. His crocodile tears when talking about 9/11 are totally, completely repulsive.

The Republicans better figure out a way to shut him up, or detach themselves from him completely. When some version of health care passes, and it will pass, the really crazy part of the Republican right wing, will scream louder, and louder, while they melt in to a pile of goo, in the same way as the wicked witch did at the end of the wizard of Oz.

You're joking I pray. 912 was a huge success. The tea parties are a huge success. And you want them to stop. Well i'm sure little leftist that you are only looking out for the well being of republicans everywhere.

It's not just conservatives screaming. It's democrats who were fooled by the media, it's the seniors...and the democrats don't want to lose the seniors. Now you sorry lazy lefties may get this passed. BUT your politicians are going to pay dearly for it. While I insulted a person who must be an idol of yours, you use vitriolic name calling toward me, one of your forum members. I was wrong to think you would bring more to the table than that. So, by your definition of socialism, the V.A. should be closed? That is run like a TRUE socialist government, the buildings owned, and the people paid directly by the government.

Well, further evidence that the Liberals suffer from a serious disconnect. Glenn Beck is a TV personality, not a journalist. I watch him, along with about 4 million other viewers, because he asks pertinent, relevant questions that the "most transparent and lobbyist free" administration refuses to address.
You have every right to dislike Glenn Beck and the First Ammendment protects your right to express your discontent. But it has become obvious to the 65% of America who identifies themselves as Moderate or Conservative, that whenever the Left begins to smear someone publically, they are truly scared of that person. Remember Palin and Joe the Plumber.
Your accusation of "Traitor" is interesting. I have never seen anything traitorous involved with Glenn Beck. He opposes corruption, Dem. And Rep. He wants investigations. He wants accountability. He wants to know why, and so do I. All we get from the Left is "Mob, Astroturf, Racist, etc. Oh and don't forget, "Traitor".
Your party better get a clue because time is coming for a reckoning.
