What do those liberal scientists know, anyway? Clearly, they've been brainwashed with marxist propaganda.

Yep that water will kill you..
I remember something on the internet about a town that had seen a web site talking about this bad chemical and the town's politicians banned it and later they found out that what they banned was water.
In fact I believe they had someone go on a college campus once and try a test by telling people how bad this was by using the chemical name and many of those they talked to signed a petition to ban it.
You have to wonder how these peope got through school.

I have a copy of the petition (minus the signatures):
BAN DIHYDROGEN MONOXIDE!
Dihydrogen monoxide is colorless, odorless, tasteless, and kills uncounted thousands of people every year. Most of these deaths are caused by accidental inhalation of DHMO, but the dangers of dihydrogen monoxide do not end there. Prolonged exposure to its solid form causes severe tissue damage. Symptoms of DHMO ingestion can include excessive sweating and urination, and possibly a bloated feeling, nausea, vomiting and body electrolyte imbalance. For those who have become dependent, DHMO withdrawal means certain death.
Dihydrogen monoxide:
• is also known as hydroxl acid, and is the major component of acid rain.
• contributes to the "greenhouse effect."
• may cause severe burns.
• contributes to the erosion of our natural landscape.
• accelerates corrosion and rusting of many metals.
• may cause electrical failures and decreased effectiveness of automobile brakes.
• has been found in excised tumors of terminal cancer patients.
Contamination is reaching epidemic proportions!
Quantities of dihydrogen monoxide have been found in almost every stream, lake, and reservoir in America today. But the pollution is global, and the contaminant has even been found in Antarctic ice. DHMO has caused millions of dollars of property damage in the midwest, and recently California.
Despite the danger, dihydrogen monoxide is often used:
• as an industrial solvent and coolant.
• in nuclear power plants.
• in the production of styrofoam.
• as a fire retardant.
• in many forms of cruel animal research.
• in the distribution of pesticides. Even after washing, produce remains contaminated by this chemical.
• as an additive in certain "junk-foods" and other food products.
Companies dump waste DHMO into rivers and the ocean, and nothing can be done to stop them because this practice is still legal. The impact on wildlife is extreme, and we cannot afford to ignore it any longer!
The American government has refused to ban the production, distribution, or use of this damaging chemical due to its "importance to the economic health of this nation." In fact, the navy and other military organizations are conducting experiments with DHMO, and designing multi-billion dollar devices to control and utilize it during warfare situations. Hundreds of military research facilities receive tons of it through a highly sophisticated underground distribution network. Many store large quantities for later use.The right of the people to keep and arm bears shall not be infringed. - P.A. Yost, Sr.

I worked for 2 years at Leslie's Swimming Pool Supplies. I put up a petition for banning Dihydrogen Monoxide and could usually get at least 1,000 signatures during the summer months.

You can often smell sulfur dioxide around cars since catalytic converters. They tried to eliminate the harmless CO2 and wind up with a real pollutant.
I was mentioning this to a lady from our church today, just as we were leaving after the holiday dinner. She said, "I get mad at Al Gore every time I go outside when it's cold like this."The right of the people to keep and arm bears shall not be infringed. - P.A. Yost, Sr.

There are many published papers establishing short residence time frame of CO2.
Somewhere I have a link that shows a long list of credible scientists. That over the last 30 years or so have stated along the lines that.CO2 residence times are around 5-12 years.Yup even professor Keeling thinks it was in that time frame as late as 1985.
Just a simple math check of the IPCC's numbers forces the conclusion that CO2 has a short residence time in the atmosphere.

Actually CH4 is barely a greenhouse gas at all.Since it is in the outer part of the earths black body spectrum (far IR).It is a rarefied gas in the atmosphere that has only one frequency in the FAR IR part of the spectrum.Absorbing a trace amount of the outgoing IR is all it can do.
Others except water vapor is not important to be even minimally concerned about.Last edited by Sunsettommy; 11-25-2008 at 08:47 PM.
