    EXCERPT:

Of course many of you that live in this weather already know this, but there is an early start to winter this year, not only in the USA, but also in London, where it snowed in October for the first time in over 70 years.

So far, no mention of this broadly distributed U.S. record event in the mainstream media. There are a few individual mentions or record lows in Florida. See this Google News search.

Here, from NOAA’s National Climatic Data Center (NCDC), is a list of these new or tied records for October 29th, 2008.

    LOT MORE HERE

the hilarity of the snowfall in London in Oct was that they had to delay the Global warming Conference there because of it...
John Adams, 2nd President and signer of the Declaration of Independence warned:
"Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other."

Yup and not only that. They went on with the farce of CO2 emission reduction later.

Apparently the cold and snow failed to beat sense into them.

It seems like excessively cold weather and snow are common occurences with global warming conferences. Didn't they have to cancel one a few years ago in NY or NJ because it was too cold?

It was in NYC.The coldest day on record and that means Al Gore was there.

He was to give a speech there.

Ah, but they've wised up to that. They don't call it global warming anymore. It's now "climate change".

Yeah, I know that. And this winter is predicted (at least in this area) to be a particularly nasty one. I don't know if it's snow or cold or both. And we used air conditioning maybe 3 days this past summer.

I think we're going into another little ice age as here in the Pacific Northwest we've had 3 major snow storms in the last 2 weeks with more expected tonight and tomorrow. We have close to a foot of snow at my house and since the city owns maybe 2 plows, the streets are a sheet of ice and packed snow that isn't going anywhere. It's been bitterly cold as well.

The last two summers have been very cool as well. We didn't get peas until the middle of July as it was so wet we couldn't plant our garden. In 2007, the Seattle area [I'm north of Seattle] didn't get over 70 degrees after August 31 which is very unusual. This last summer was cool but we did have a decent Indian summer thankfully.
