The best tool for compression
Is 7zip. It packs tighter than rar or zip even tighter than tar.
I strongly recommend it to everyone for all compression needs. Just don't forget to grab unrar With those two combined you can handle about any compression file out there, and get the tightest compression. You have to point 7zip to unrar for 7zip to be able to use it.
