It dawned on me that it may have been Scarface, but I didnt remember Tony knowing a cop.

There was one reality that many parents--especially divorced fathers--face that was shown in this movie even though it should have been emphasized more. That is, many fathers are wrongly forced into supervised access/visitation with their children. The show took a comical look at how one estranged father tried to get around it. Other than that, I agree that I can't stand it.
