Don't Ask, Don't Tell to be Revoked?
Suh,
Let me get my POLITICAL MIND wrapped around this little nugget...
*If "Don't Ask,Don't Tell" (hereby known as DA/DT) is a NEGATIVE policy where you DO NOT DO SOMETHING, then how do you revoke that? By ASKING military personel if they are homos or letting them tell us they are sexual deviants?
*How is THAT a good policy in either case? If you can ASK and/or they can TELL, is that good because everything is in the open? So, if a member of my team/company/squad says they are tooty-fruity, does that mean they become the "BRAVE HOMOSEXUAL COMING OUT OF THE CLOSET" and getting the applause of their fellows?
**I think that, no matter what the troops may say,in their heads and hearts they segregate that deviant.
Now,this may shock some of you... These people may be in Harm's Way sometime and need their team mates...
I wouldn't want the rest of the troops to be mad/ashamed/ resentful of ME or any SPECIAL PRIVLEGES I get...

Good Point, Senator. My concern is the predatory nature of some homo men. When I was a bodyguard, I worked a lot in the music industry. I had to protect a few homo men. Most of them were notoriously promiscuous and relentlessly agressive. Thus, the need for professional protection.
I also played football in school and we had a few homos in the locker room. They made some guys extremely uneasy, as they oggled us constantly. Needless to say, this caused violence and other problems that hurt our team.
Someone needs to make this faction of America understand. We don't accept their alternative perversion, and we shouldn't have to worry about justifying our position. If you are to accept these people in society, provision must be made to accomidate their preference, without inconvienencing the typicals. Afterall, men are not allowed to shower with the women. Women don't bunk with the men.
Why do they want so badly to be accepted by the very people they call homophobic? Why would they want anything to do with people who want nothing to do with them? To boost their ego? To be popular? Nah! They want more targets. If that were not true, why haven't the homos who screamed so loudly about the Boy Scouts of America not accepting them, tried to be scout leaders for the Girl Scouts?

One BIG OBAMANATION

I had a guy grab my posterior and try to kiss me while I was in Korea. I grabbed his head and broke his nose. I was the one who recieved the UCMJ action (Article 15). This was back in 1992
Yes, repealing "Don't ask, don't tell" is going to cause some major problems.
I'm glad I retired.

If they really "repealed" it, it would go back to "no homosexuals in the military."

Everyone on this thread is immature. Including me. But you know, I actually am SUPPOSED to be immature. *leaves*

If we're worried about gays being comfortable, what the heck are they doing in the military? They aren't exactly on plush sofas ringing for their butlers. I think they have more important things to do than revealing their homosexuality. Like fight for our country, for instance. Their homosexuality could distract other people, make them feel uncomfortable, etc. But why should gays be made to be more comfortable than straights? That's not "equal"...
When the people fear their government, there is tyranny. When the government fears the people, there is liberty.
Those who sacrifice liberty for temporary security deserve neither.
What I want this Christmas: America. This includes no Obama, no Hillary, no Pelosi, no Biden, no Reid, and no Osama (oops, that's redundant).

How exactly would revoking DADT be making gays more comfortable than straights? Read this: Mombian Blog Archive Children Ask, Children Tell
Have you ever even thought about the different issues from another person's point of view? So many people on here are just conservative zombiebots, who refuse to even consider the possibility that they're wrong, or even that liberals' opinions might have some merit. Don't be like that, I like you! You're really young (as am I) but that doesn't mean we can't walk a mile in someone else's shoes, you know what I'm saying?Discovery consists of seeing what everybody has seen and thinking what nobody has thought.Albert Szent-Gyorgyi

Thats what makes us conservative. We dont accept another point of view when it is from a leftist point of view. Your showing way to much personal attachment to this subject, and ignoring the fact that everything would be alright if everyone agreed with you. Not gonna happen. If people who have actually served cant convince you, and the military itself largley rejecting it, its simply an emotional issue for you. Thats the way of the left, and thats what conservatives reject.
Back for awhile....
