Saw this on a website. If you take the entire population of:
Alaska, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Maine, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Utah, Vermont, West Virginia, and Wyoming.
…and add them all together, that is the number of people in this country on food stamps. This to me does not speak of a healthy vibrant nation. Nor does is strike me as a land of opportunity where half the entire population turns to the government for food. And the sad part is, we aren’t addressing the cause of this massive unemployment and poverty, nor are we making decisions that ENCOURAGE business expansion and job growth. Rather, we focus just on the means in which to cope with the destitution it leaves behind. Instead of making an effort to put these people back to work, get them back on their feet, we are demanding that those who are still standing pay more so that these people can continue to wallow in poverty and destitution with their only solace a check from the fed, which has been illustrated as this benevolence beyond words. Why would someone want people to be this way? Don’t we want people out of poverty instead just making the rich poorer? Why isn’t that our focus?
Perhaps because, the best way to control someone is to take everything from them, make them wholly dependent on you, and intimidate them when they consider an alternative. Sound familiar? Slavery, perhaps?
This is the Progressive America that is being worshiped in a creepy cult kind of way.
What’s the point in fighting it, anyways? What does it matter? No one is gonna listen. None of our fellow Americans certainly will. No they will continue to go off on everyone of Obama’s herring hunts like gun control, environment, and gay marriage and pretend that the debt is fixed secure in the knowledge that when and if the economy tanks, they and their lackies in the media will have the successful ability to blame the republicans for it. Thank god for that, because the economic collapse and utter destitution of the American people is a perfectly good trade-off to making the Republicans look bad.
My salute to Obama’s reelection, may he and those who voted for him get everything they asked for.
