“Our house is on fire,” said Pelley. The video of Pelley’s speech is courtesy of

“These have been a bad few months for journalism,” he added. “We’re getting the big stories wrong, over and over again.”

The CBS newsreader was quick to take at least partial blame. "Let me take the first arrow: During our coverage of Newtown, I sat on my set and I reported that Nancy Lanza was a teacher at the school. And that her son had attacked her classroom. It’s a hell of a story, but it was dead wrong.

Pelley, as quoted in this article, focused on the MSM getting important and basic facts wrong. And that has been a significant problem! Would that he’d also recognized that their biases also screw up their reportage of stories they do cover and their choices of what stories not to cover or minimally cover! Getting important basic facts wrong may be a blow to “journalists” pride, but it is their biases that are raining blows on our society!

Speaking of biases, I wonder how these facts might affect how ABC and CBS cover the Obama WH. And may serve the Obama WH as channels for, “Back off,” messages.

It’s hard to be honest when all your marbles are in the Democrat’s bag.
