Cold War-era Animation


Post cool animated films from back then, for whatever age group. Soviet animation was really good, but mostly they only made cartoons and short clips, not full-length animated films.

Here’s a rendition of Bradbury’s There will come soft rains, by Uzbekfilm studio. English subtitles, pretty creepy.

This is Ну, погоди! (“Just you wait!”), it’s like a Communist Tom and Jerry or that other cartoon with the coyote.

Cool! I like the sailor-wolf guy, the sound effects coupled with the marvelous sped-up jazz-loungy soundtrack offer a unique environment to sip scotch by.
