Democrat accountability

#1

We all know that republicans are held to a higher standard, that every word uttered will be scrutinized to the highest level. Of course, this is a non-issue as long as we stand by our principles and take the higher ground. My fear is that over time democrats will wield so much power, that our checks and balances system will be null and void or at a minimum unbalanced in such a way that is irreparable. Hillary has been proven a fraud and the DNC proven corrupt as well. But without whistleblowers/insiders/honest fact checkers where would we be? Could the Republican Party dwindle to an extent where nobody will keep democrats in check? Are my fears unwarranted, or will there always be people to bring corruption to light?

Republicans currently control the house and senate, and as far as I know a majority of state governorships, state legislatures, and have a larger presence in many local/city governments than their Democrat counterparts. (I’m not sure if I’m right, if someone knows better than me please correct me)

It might seem difficult nowadays to get a Republican elected president, but there’s still good we can do in other areas that keep us from nonexistence.

#3

This doesn’t seem to matter anymore. The Republicans control both houses of Congress; and yet there is NO demand for a Special Prosecutor; NO meaningful move to defund the ACA medical-care-destruction act; and despite TENS OF THOUSANDS of illegal actions by the pretend President, NO ARTICLES OF IMPEACHMENT.

Party, today, is irrelevant. The undemocratic Democrats enjoy advantages the RINOpublicans do not; but they are all of the Government Class and will all take care of one another.

And of their god, big, bloated, insatiable GOVERNMENT.

I was merely saying Republicans exist. The establishment has obviously lost its will to do anything after being bought and paid for by multinational corporations, which is why the whole Trump thing gained so much traction.

I think that there’s a case to be made that everything you have talked about has come to pass or is coming to pass as I type this. And I think that it’s just as much the fault of the Republicans as it is the Democrats. Understand I vote Rep so that left programs won’t go any further (for a time) but basically when the Repbs get in they change very little of what the Dems have done. Bush was in for 8 years, did the government get smaller or bigger? Was there a redesign of our welfare program? Were lending standard tightened so that people were forced to only buy houses they could afford? It’s like the Repb are afraid to take the Dems on head to head on anything. All of those million small issues that Dems have changed over the years are still in place & nobody is addressing any of them. Just think for a minute of all of the things that Obama did with the stroke of a pen (& without Congress approval), do you think for 1 second that the next repb president will cancel them out when he gets in office? Not a chance & that’s sad.

This is what is called “machine politics” and this term dates back to pre WWII corrupt Chicago, NYC and the machines that run them.

But this has be SOP, modus operandi in the far left across the globe for as long as we have written history. It no doubt has been boiling in the corrupt caldron of the DNC for some time and has now finally seen the light of day…thanks to our FRIENDS the Rusky’s.

But there is a take away here: If HildaBeast wins, the machine will have not only proven it works, but that the American People are not bothered by it. This will insure that the Dim Machine will spread like wildfire and we will see a far left, socialist communist country for many, many years to come. Most likely the only thing that will take it down just like the USSR, will be the very collapse of it.

All bad news you say? Not hardly, in fact with each passing day the light at the end of the tunnel shines brighter. Every far left govt has collapsed under its own weight, but before that happens the oppression and suppression creates a need, a need for people to eat and have things to improve their lives that the govt could not provide. And that need is Capitalism or what is known as a thriving Black Market. Just like in the USSR before it fell into ruin and every other country.

Excellent posts. I do not see much hope for the Republican party in the near future. They got elected in huge majorities and then were too scared to govern as they said they would. We do not have the media on our side. Trump is a huge embarrassment. He could have brought the party together but he tore it apart with his bombastic personality. He tore down good people on a personal level and then wonders why they don’t support him. I thought the convention was good. His speech was great. His kids are great. I do see hope. Now I just fear the debates. I don’t see how Trump can out debate Hillary.

Democrat accountability
Shark squirrel.

This is about words that don’t go together isn’t it? (wink).

I’m bothered by the above statement & the thought behind it. You see we don’t need or have to get along as conservatives. We don’t have to like each other at all. All we have to do together is have a common belief in capitalism & that it’s better than socialism. Oh & we need to vote that way. If my neighbor was a conservative & I HATED their guts for every reason under the sun I would still give them a ride to the poles on election day because my country is more important than I am.
.
Now days we seem to feel that everyone has to agree with us 100% on everything & that’s bull. A united front is important, again total bull. Get the issues out there with the idea that some will not agree with every stance on every issue but that’s ok because this is American & they don’t have to. Besides that we are all human & if we must agree on everything then we better get to killing people that don’t agree & cloning the one that we want everyone to agree with.
.
Lastly I’d say this. You don’t agree with someone, be happy. In communism voicing that thought could get you killed. In socialism you would be ignored. This is America so you can say that loud & proud. Just understand that it’s a right that can go away very quickly if we don’t work together.

Maybe their is light at the end of the tunnel…just let them continue to shoot themselves in the foot! Haha! Let’s just hope the do it more frequently and with greater force than we do.

#11

It seems to me that conservatives will stand by their principles, at cost of appearing to divide the party. (I.E Cruz) while democrats gain power by abandoning their supposed principles in order to provide the image of unity. (I.E. Sanders). To me this is disgusting, but yet here we are and his supporters will vote Clinton to further the party. How do WE unify without abandoning at least some principles in order to win?

When it comes to shooting I get the impression that republican leadership must be near blind. Not only do they never hit the target but they always shoot at the wrong targets.

#13

I’m hoping that a good number of Sanders supporters will stay home. I know of some Democrat friends who are almost “yellow dog Democrats,” BUT Hillary is proving to be somthing less than a “yellow dog” to them. They are voting for the Libertarian candidate in protest. The theory is they want to purge the party of her.

#14

I agree. Trump probably won’t out-debate the Beast, but he will most likely insult the crap out of her.

#15

Just voicing my opinion … I know I have to take the heat for criticizing Trump. He could have brought more of the establishment to his side had he not gone off on such personal attacks. His personal attacks on Cruz, the disabled, McCain, the Bushes, Carson etc etc … are what turned many people off to him. I lost respect for Carson for supporting him after he basically called him a child molester. Way over the top in my book. You should not have to keep your word when you go off on someone’s family.

I am hoping Trump wins and I am in no way supporting the Democrats. Does not mean I have to like the guy.

#16

I had forgotten about the child molester bit…

Thanks!

[/quote]I think they shoot at the exact target they intend to. They just lie about what they want to do.

If Hillary wins, the "“principles” arguments will mean nothing. She will make all of the illegal aliens and Middle Eatern refugees citizens and buy their votes with free stuff. After that the Democrats will own the presidency and the country. There is a dim hope that that won’t happen with Trump or at least we might have some hope of influencing him. We will have no hope of influencing Hillary.

#19

All of what you wrote is true, but at this point it means nothing and is counterproductive. We need to elect Trump and hope that we can work with him. Hillary will never work with us unless we just rollover and give her everything she wants. In other words the Democrats and the GOP would the same party.

Let Hillary and the Democrats say bad stuff about Trump. We don’t need to help them.

#20

Ok - so it’s no longer appropriate to criticize Trump. One would think that one would be able to take criticisms, read and learn from them.
