Democrats propose $10,000 fine for gun owners who don’t have insurance

A contingent of liberal Democrats in Congress is proposing a new federal gun control idea: mandatory liability insurance for gun owners.
When New York Rep. Carolyn Maloney introduced the legislation last month with eight other Democrats, she boasted that it is “the first bill to require liability insurance of gun buyers nationwide.”
Maloney’s “Firearm Risk Protection Act” requires gun buyers to have “a qualified liability insurance policy” before they are able to legally purchase a firearm.

Basically this is an attempt to legislate guns out of the hands of citizens and destroy the second amendment. This would open the door to adding that all guns had to be registered and insured.

Okay, a few more boobs who can’t understand, “…SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED”, or maybe don’t know what “infringe” means.

But it’ll fit right snuggly in Jazz’ Christmas stocking!

Exceptions would be made for law enforcement, military and employees of government departments and agencies.

Aside from the military, uhhhh…how come?
Do victims and society somehow majically not bear the brunt of the costs because the bullet came out of gun in the hands of a LEO?
And one would think, as they are the MOST likely to be in a firearm’s exchange, that their insurance would be higher; not exempt.

And, as has been said, how BIG of a baffoon to have to be to think that those creating the damage would be paying for the damage?

I’d like to insist that their real agenda is wholey transparant, but it’s been demonstrated all too often that a good number of 'em ARE that dumb.
