Federal minimum wage hike defeated in house

#1

An attempt to raise the federal minimum wage from $7.25 to $10.10 over three years was defeated Friday in Congress. Upon enactment, the measure would have increased the federal minimum wage from $7.25 to $8.20 within three months. A year from this date, the federal minimum wage would increase from $8.20 to $9.15. A year from this date, the federal minimum wage would increase to $10.10.

Everytime I see something like this the realization that those proposing it do not realize that they are hurting those businesses which have to jack up prices.
