Gators Climb to No. 4 in the Associated Press and No. 6 in USA Today Weekly Polls

After a 14-6 upset victory over No. 4 LSU, the Gators jumped in the polls for the fifth-straight week. Florida cracked the top-five in the Associated Press Poll as they are No. 4 and moved up to No. 6 in the USA Today Coaches’ Poll. Last week Florida was ranked No. 10 in the Associated Press Poll and No. 11 in the USA Today Coaches’ Poll. UF (5-0, 4-0 SEC) will be on the road this week at Vanderbilt (2-3, 1-2 SEC), the game will air on ESPNU at 6 p.m. Florida has won two conference road games so far this season.

There are seven teams from the SEC currently ranked in the polls. Among the six teams remaining on Florida’s schedule, the Gators will face three teams present in rankings: No. 3 South Carolina (Oct. 20 at The Swamp), No. 12 Florida State (Nov. 24 in Tallahassee) and No. 14 Georgia (Oct. 27 in Jacksonville).
