Geraldo Rivera, a limousine liberal, tells US taxpayers to be compassionate to illegal entrants

#1

.

Once again we hear Geraldo Rivera, today on Fox News Channel, telling United States Taxpayers to be compassionate to the thousands of poverty stricken, poorly educated, low and unskilled migrants wanting to flood into our country.

Of course, like all limousine liberals, Geraldo, after preaching that America is one of the riches countries in the world, has not opened his house to a few dozen “immigrants” and compassionately shared his $2.8 million luxurious spread with them. To get an idea of his new crib, take a TOUR and see how Geraldo, the preacher lives.

What Geraldo appears to ignore is, these caravan rushes at our borders, and the millions upon millions of foreigners who have, and are, invading our borders, they have some very real and devastating consequences which are inflicted upon American Citizens, especially American Citizens living in our nation’s inner cities, which are not experienced by Geraldo who lives a life of luxury.

Unlike Geraldo, I know what it’s like to actually live in an inner city [South Bronx and East Harlem, where I spent a good part of my childhood], and also know the devastating effects which today’s uncontrolled illegal immigration has inflicted upon American Citizens living in many of our nation’s inner cities. I also know The United States is already more compassionate than any other country in opening her doors to immigration in a regulated and orderly manner.

So, Geraldo Rivera, next time you want to tell us to be compassionate to those who are invading our borders and violating our immigration laws, and making American Citizens living in our nation’s inner cities into tax slaves to support their economic needs, I suggest you LISTEN to Bernadette Lancelin, and then consider taking in a few dozen immigrants from the caravan, and spreading your wealth among them.

JWK

American citizens are sick and tired of being made into tax-slaves to finance a maternity ward for the poverty stricken populations of other countries who invade America’s borders to give birth.

#2

If we really wanted to be compassionate, we would export knowledge of how a free market economy works so those countries could enjoy prosperity at home.

#3

We would also arm the citizenry so they could overthrow their oppressors, like we did with King George!

Does anyone here remember when John Legend recently told us how sympathetic he is towards the millions of illegal entrants and their plight? If this Limousine Socialist was so concerned about their plight, then why hasn’t he and his squeeze taken a few hundred illegal entrants into his $14 million plus mansion in Beverly Hills?

And let us not forget that, while on the Bill Maher show, Jim Carrey, one of Hollywood’s richest actors declared “We have to say yes to socialism, to the word and everything. We have to stop apologizing,"

Of course, neither Carrey nor Maher is apologizing for their enormous wealth which they have realized under our free market system.

To get an idea of how these two limousine riding elitists live, first take a TOUR of Carrey’s $13.5 million dollar home, and then take a TOUR of Maher’s home.

JWK

They are not “liberal leaders”. They are conniving Marxists leaders who use the cloak of government force to keep themselves in power by stealing and then redistributing the wealth which wage earners, business and investors have worked to create

My wife and I were so angry at Geraldo Rivera this morning that we shut down the TV. With Geraldo, it’s simple: I’m Hispanic; they’re Hispanic; I support them.

If he is so concerned about poor people coming to the U.S. and getting on welfare, he’d mention the poor people in Africa who don’t enjoy the proximity to the U.S. that his Hispanic constituency has. I probably should not give him any ideas. Next, he’ll calling for boats and plane trips from Africa and everywhere else for poor people.

Geraldo lives in a big house, probably in a gated community, and has bodyguards to protect him. He doesn’t have worry about the criminals who are crossing the border. Maybe his kids are not addicted to the drugs they bring here. He is an elitist who is insulated from all of that and looks down his nose at anyone who disagrees with him.

#6

You actually do this through letting people work here. And by letting our corporations build factories “there”.

This builds up human capital for them in both cases. When Mexico started building autoplants in the 90s, most of them had to be helmed by foreigners, as no one else know how to run them.

Today, most of them are run by Mexicans, as NAFTA greatly increased knowledge accumulation over the border, both through studying what foreign operators did, and people working in our factories, who went back.

#7

Immigrants, even illegal ones, are a net boon for Federal benefits. The people who run SS and medicare vouch for this.

It’s State and county programs which run at a deficit, and they only do that, because the structure of those systems were already unsustainable.

#8

Well then let’s set up some quotas to allow a controlled number of them in on visas for a limited time every year. Not a willy-nilly let-everyone-flood-the-borders program.

Oh great. We exported those jobs. Let’s not do that again. Why are you so intent on them coming here and exporting our jobs there?

Maybe we could sponsor something like a peace corps where a few advisors would go there and help them originate and setup factories of there own, owned by them, building products using their own resources, their own brands. That’s more like what I had in mind. Maybe we can even get sponsorship by US companies instead of tax money. They could use it to advertise what a concerned and great company they are.

#9

You have to remember that insofar as illegal immigration is concerned, Alaska Slim is as far left as Nancy Pelosi or Chuckie Schumer. He’s been spreading the LIE that illegals “benefit” our country and our economy for as long as I’ve been posting on this board.

There’s a natural desire for employers to want employees who have been screened, and won’t steal from them…

There’s equally a a natural desire of immigrants not to be abused, and to navigate the workforce fairly.

Despite these natural desires, these two commonly eschew the existing system, to make their own arrangements outside the Government.

Which speaks to the level that the Government has screwed up here. It created this situation (we once had a working system if you recall), yet can’t navigate itself out of it.

Hardly Ken, our own production of cars increased by a factor of 3x since the 1980s.

How can this happen, while Mexico also grew? It’s because the demand for cars rose dramatically at the same time. Mostly thanks to Asia.

Human capital still needs to develop in these places. You’re not addressing that. That can only come about through experience, from working in one of our factories, or in one there managed by our companies.

You’re also pretending this can be done in one step, when it’s actually done with incremental changes overtime.

Which is what free markets excel at. It created China’s success, it’s made Mexico the #4 Auto producer. It’s a formula that making a 400 millions strong middle class, in the nations of Vietnam, Thailand, and Indonesia.

Who will all be customers of our products.

As Ronald Reagan, and Milton Friedman who said the same things about them

Conservatives & economists have backed me at every turn. You have never had an answer for this. You just ignore that they said it.

#12

Weren’t YOU the one telling us that even Ford makes no “cars” in the U.S. any longer except Mustangs? What do you think happened to those Fairlanes, LTDs, Grand Marquis, Town Cars, etc. I’ve owned each of them and they are all gone–even though I’d LOVE to have my Town Car back and that 6 cylinder Fairlane was one of the most fuel efficient cars I’ve ever owned.

#13

Yup. And it’s our fault; we made the individual parts too expensive to assemble here for most cars. If you try to turn around and sell the more entry level cars abroad, they don’t compete well.

Immigrants are a boon to the economy if they come here TO WORK, not sponge off the system or worse, yet engage in illegal activities. Back in the “Send us your huddled masses yearning to be free,” days, the government was selective about who it let into the country. Sick people were rejected. So were the crooks, the insane and those who were “undesirable”.Today it’s anybody who walks across the border, including unaccompanied children who will become nothing but wards of the state, and an expense to the taxpayers for years to come.

Milton Friedman and the rest of the classical economists never figured on the immigration system becoming an arm of the welfare state. They also never figured on these people coming here and voting themselves benefits by supporting the Socialist Democrat Party.

If prosent pattern comes to fruition the way the Democrats want it, we will become the next hellhole country where no one wants to live. You might think I’m crazy, but it does not take that long for an economy to go down the tubes, Venezuela was once one of the most successful nations in South America with a thriving middle class. Now it’s a basket case run by a stupid, greedy corrupt leftist dictator.

There are lots of stupid left wing dictator wannabes in the modern Democrat Party. You can start with those in the Senate who engineered the Kavanaugh fiasco and continue with the clowns in the FBI and DOJ who wanted to influence the last presidential election. Robert Muller might even want to throw his hat into the ring.

And there is THE “magnums cum laud greedy, corrupt left wing dictator wannabe,” Hillary Clinton. She will be running for president until she is drooling in her applesauce in a fancy nursing home, half senile. The only designation she deserves is the Harold Stassen award for political obsessions and a term in a penitentiary.

DUDE, you have no idea of the devastating effects which unbridled immigration has inflicted upon the Citizens of the United States. Stop making stuff up.

Consequences of illegal immigration

Let us take a look at the destructive social and economic consequences in just one county in California inflicted upon its citizens in 1995 when this massive invasion of our borders began to accelerate. CLICK HERE and scroll to page 93 for testimony given by JOAN ZINSER before the COMMITTEE ON THE JUDICIARY, U.S. HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES, DECEMBER 13, 1995

Good morning Chairman Smith and other honorable members of the Subcommittee on Immigration and Claims. I am Joan Zinser, Deputy Director of the San Diego County Department of Social Services. I direct the department’s Income Maintenance Bureau, which has responsibility for AFDC, Food Stamps and Medicaid eligibility determinations. I am here today to tell you about the effects of illegal immigration on the County’s assistance programs, and to present information regarding impacts on other county-funded services.

Impacts on San Diego County

In 1993, illegal aliens in San Diego County were estimated to be 7.9% of the population, or a total of almost 220,000 illegal aliens in a county with a population of slightly over 2 1/2 million. A 1993 Calffornia State Senate report estimated that the State, local governments - primarily the County - and schools incurred $304 million in costs to provide services to illegal aliens. These costs were offset by only $60 million in taxes generated by illegal aliens - leaving a net impact of $244 million.

Welfare Costs.

When a child is a US citizen, AFDC can be granted for the child but not the parent, if the parent is an undocumented immigrant. In 1992 there were 6,414 children born to undocumented immigrant parents in San Diego County hospitals. Each year, the illegal alien parents of nearly 2000 “citizen children” apply for and receive AFDC in San Diego County. The cumulative total of these “citizen child” cases continues to rise each year.

Public assistance is intended to support the citizen child, but is paid to the illegal alien parent and is, no doubt, used by the parent to support the entire family. Costs for providing AFDC to “citizen children” cases in San Diego totaled $37 million in 1993 for approximately 5430 AFDC cases.

Additional costs are incurred in Child Welfare Services. Combining costs for Out-of-Home and Family Maintenance services to families of illegal aliens results in an additional cost of $1.7 million.

Medicaid and Other Health-Related- Costs.

Medicaid services are an increasingly large portion of the costs involved in illegal immigration. In 1992, Medicaid paid for 6,414 births illegal alien mothers. Although studies have shown that illegal aliens use fewer Medicaid services than do the age-equivalent members of the general population, significant costs remain. Delivery costs are greater for babies with mothers lacking adequate prenatal care and many medical conditions are treated more cost-effectively in their early stages. Infectious diseases are also a major concern of the County. San Diego County has historically carried large costs because of illegal aliens with these problems. Costs associated with providing emergency and pregnancy related needs to illegal aliens are paid for under “restricted Medi-Cal benefits.” During the 1992 calendar year, an estimated $37 million was paid for “restricted Medi-Cal benefits.” Other costs, including uncompensated care in hospitals, community clinics, and other health services elevated the 1993 total costs to over $50 million.

Criminal justice.

A recent 90-day pilot project involved having INS Agents present in the county jails to interview those suspected of being an undocumented immigrant. Approximately 20% of the persons booked into the jails during that pilot were identified as being illegal aliens. With annual bookings of approximatel 105,000 persons a year, it is estimated that up to 21,000 were illegal aliens.

According to the San Diego County District Attorney, 8,521 felony crimes were committed by illegal aliens between 1987 and 1992. Illegal aliens commit an estimated 22% of felony crimes committed in the county. The number of misdemeanors committed during the same period in San Diego County by illegal aliens is estimated to be 17,000. In 1993, approximately 15. 1 % of the costs -accrued in dealing with crimes were spent on illegal aliens. Costs for illegal aliens to the legal system totaled $151 million in the County of San Diego for 1993.

Education.

Recently, a video of students crossing the border and getting on a school bus in San Diego County in order to receive free education was shown nationwide. Locally, we have worked to make sure that this situation does not recur, but education of the children of illegal aliens is also a significant CDSt. It is estimated that $60 million was spent in San Diego County in 1993 for education of illegal aliens.

And, more recently see:

Illegal aliens cost California billions

2004

”Illegal immigration costs the taxpayers of California — which has the highest number of illegal aliens nationwide — $10.5 billion a year for education, health care and incarceration, according to a study released yesterday.”

Also see: Testimony about “51 Florida Hospitals in trouble” due to illegal aliens expenses:

Jun 10, 2008

”No need to editorialize. Here is a sampling of the sort of facts the politicians and pro-illegal lobby want you to ignore, yet expect you to continue to bear the burden of. Is it any wonder scores of hospitals in border states and elsewhere have shut down or closed their ER units!!!”

Then take a look at Texas Faces Rising Cost For Illegal Immigrant Care

Aug 19, 2010

Texas spent at least $250 million in the past year for medical care and imprisonment of illegal immigrants and other non-citizens.

And how about this: The Fiscal Cost of Unlawful Immigrants and Amnesty to the U.S. Taxpayer

May 6, 2013

”In 2010, the average unlawful immigrant household received around $24,721 in government benefits and services while paying some $10,334 in taxes. This generated an average annual fiscal deficit (benefits received minus taxes paid) of around $14,387 per household. This cost had to be borne by U.S. taxpayers. Amnesty would provide unlawful households with access to over 80 means-tested welfare programs, Obamacare, Social Security, and Medicare. The fiscal deficit for each household would soar.”

And how about the tens of thousands of criminal aliens released into our nation’s population? See: Judicial Watch: 165,900 Criminal Aliens into US Population Through April 2014

Mar 2015

”Nearly 166,000 convicted criminal illegal aliens were released by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) as of April, 2014. This is the analysis of 76 pages of DHS documents obtained by Judicial Watch via Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests. The criminal illegal aliens include rapists, murderers and kidnappers.”

Now, the question is, do you support an America first immigration policy which is merit based and forbids “immigrants” from receiving government cheese for at least five years?

JWK

American citizens are sick and tired of being made into tax-slaves to finance the economic needs of millions of poverty stricken, poorly educated, low and unskilled aliens who have invaded America’s borders.

#16

Yea, Alaska slim lives in a dream world when it comes to stating the costs of illegal immigration. You know that when Obama’s observations use Milton Friedman as support for his policies that conditions have changed since Friedman and his classical colleagues made their theoretical observations, that there has been a fundamental change in the nature of emigration.

#17

Nope; Barry Goldwater made same observations, and that our current policy would fail. He’s been absolutely vindicated.

Had we followed what he wanted in the 1980s, we wouldn’t be where we are today. We would have repeated exactly what we did to illegal immigration in the 1950s.

It’s all about trust, and our current system engenders none.

#18

We are not talking about Barry Goldwater’s time. We are talking about today and an ongoing invasion of our borders. Now it seems the “caravan” has swelled to 7,000.

There is no surer way to weaken, destroy and subjugate a prosperous and freedom loving country than by importing the world’s poverty stricken and criminal populations into that country and making the country’s existing citizens tax-slaves to support the economic needs of such an invasion.

JWK

Our federal government is granted power “To provide for calling forth the Militia to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions”.

#19

I don’t think we’ve made it a secret; it’s just that dictatorships- and populations who have grown accustomed to living in the cage- don’t want it. And the populations, hating their lot in the cage, want to come here- and bring the cage with them.

#20

That really sums up the issue, Fantasy Chaser. I remember a huge crowd of idiots jumping up and down at a rally when Hugo Chavez came to power in Venezuela. They thought their ship had come in. It hadn’t. The trap door had opened up for them to slide or fall down to universal poverty.

They didn’t learn anything from that experience, except that they dislike Chavez and his successor, Nickolus Madina. They still think that socialism is Santa Claus.

You can’t fault them for ignorance. There are people with a PhD who still believe that socialism is Santa Claus despite repeated historical examples to the contrary.
