This is an hour long conversation. A must-listen for Braves fans or baseball fans in general.

The Braves originated in Milwaukee with Hank Aaron Eddie Mathews, and guys Hank Aaron wanted to retire as a Brewer not a brave. The Brave organization is basically a branch of the Brewers, which happens to my favorite team in Baseball, who also have the best record in the NL right now.

Hank Aaron played with the Brewers for one year and that was because the Braves traded him due to his willingness to keep playing.

The Braves actually originated in Boston under multiple names and became the Braves in 1912 (briefly switching to the Bees from 36-40 before changing back), moved to Milwaukee and played from 53-65, and then they moved to Atlanta in 1966 and have been there ever since. So they are hardly a branch of the Brewers.

Amazing isn’t it? Hank Aaron play for the Braves then 1 year with the Brewers and he allowed the Brewers to retire his name. Hank Aaron was quoted saying that he always preferred Milwaukee and that they were the best to him.

The Braves moved south and that was not a conducive place for a black player to play. Aaron was not all that welcomed until he began to set records.

True, I cannot imagined how he played through the harassment.
