I Miss Barack Obama

#1

As this primary season has gone along, a strange sensation has come over me: I miss Barack Obama. Now, obviously I disagree with a lot of Obama’s policy decisions. I’ve been disappointed by aspects of his presidency. I hope the next presidency is a philosophic departure.
But over the course of this campaign it feels as if there’s been a decline in behavioral standards across the board. Many of the traits of character and leadership that Obama possesses, and that maybe we have taken too much for granted, have suddenly gone missing or are in short supply.
The first and most important of these is basic integrity. The Obama administration has been remarkably scandal-free. Think of the way Iran-contra or the Lewinsky scandals swallowed years from Reagan and Clinton.
We’ve had very little of that from Obama. He and his staff have generally behaved with basic rectitude. Hillary Clinton is constantly having to hold these defensive press conferences when she’s trying to explain away some vaguely shady shortcut she’s taken, or decision she has made, but Obama has not had to do that.
He and his wife have not only displayed superior integrity themselves, they have mostly attracted and hired people with high personal standards. There are all sorts of unsightly characters floating around politics, including in the Clinton camp and in Gov. Chris Christie’s administration. This sort has been blocked from team Obama.

We should all glory in the fact that we have such a belevent monarch who has showed compassion and love for all americans. A man who has worked diligently to turn this great nation into a beacon of light. A man who earned the Nobel prize for his zeal for righting the wrongs done by previous presidents.

This is further proof that 0bama operated as the worst US President that did the worst things to the US and he was given a pass to do so.

To the whole article: :coffee_spray: :coffee_spray: :coffee_spray: :coffee_spray: :coffee_spray: :coffee_spray: :coffee_spray: :coffee_spray:

But but but obama is scandal free!

#5

Yup.

#6

Can’t we agree he has brought people together?

#7

Yeah, against each other.

#8

Isn’t that the truth. Come on he also brought our previous allies and our enemies together in their dislike for us.

#9

Definitely.

#10

Listen to this guy. I don’t think he cares much for Obama.

White House Letter Threatens Dr Manning

#12

I think that vid has been debunked as fake. The threat I mean.

#13

He pointed out that it was not from obama in the vid and was someone who tried to scare him.

Except Hillary was his Secretary of State, and she was selling influence via her foundation.

AND I would hardly call Obama’s policy toward Iran scandal free. The payment of unmarked bills for hostages to a state that sponsors terrorism looks like a scandal to me.

AND you forgot about Solyndra which contributed to the Obama campaign and got government subsidies that they threw away.

Someone that I respected once told me what a good administrator was. It was someone that would put his arm around you, talk you into doing something that you didn’t want to do & when they walked away you would feel good…Right up until you realized that he had screwed you.
.
A good politician is that and more. But I’d like to address the “standards” issue. I remember that Obama said that he was going to limit access of lobbyist to the White House. Well we certainly haven’t heard much about that since he got into office have we? So has he done what he said he would do? No, what he did was stop having them sign in to visit the WH so there isn’t a record of who goes there or who they have seen. Sure that’s a small point but if you think about it a major point. A plan to hide actions that was put into place from day one. I said this…I’ll do that so that they can’t prove that I lied. No records, no proof, & if it comes up we can argue all day long with those that accuse us of something underhanded. Dems are good at that, think Hillary who STILL hasn’t admitted that she did anything wrong with her emails. Say it over & over & the public will believe it because they are stupid.
.
The rich will pay for all this new socialism stuff. How often have we heard that one. An average 14 year old math student could figure out that it was a lie but not the “masses”. The numbers don’t add up. Just repeat the lie often enough & it becomes the truth.
.
My feelings are that Obama has the same standards as other presidents. The big difference is that he has a huge amount of dedicated people willing to fall on their swords for him to make sure that things can’t be tied into him. They will also do the same for the democratic party. A couple of rogue agents in the IRS screwing with conservative party’s ability to raise money? Where are those rogue agents now? Jail? I’m betting that they are making a LOT more money than when they worked at the IRS. I’m also betting that they were allowed to retire or at least got some form of payment from the retirement system that will last for the rest of their lives.
.
Don’t get me wrong, I think both parties do these kind of things. I just get tired of the dems saying how bad the repbs are & how good they are when they are at least as evil at the repbs if not more. Just my thoughts.

Early on I realized that politics is dirty and it included both parties. I became an independent with some liberal tendencies on some subjects. As my old poppa said vote for the guy who steals the least. Well that sounds awful, the reality is both parties embrace power and controlling the people.

I have lived through many administrations with politicians claiming they are working for the good only to once elected do otherwise.

I wonder if that screed is a trial balloon…judging the Democrats’ willingness to accept a National Emergency and declared-suspension of the election.

I say “declared” because the States, not the FedGov, control the election. But I wouldn’t put it past this filth.

Nor would I put it past the weak, passive, enabling RINO House to roll over and play dead.

I think David Brooks is in dire need of an intervention and he needs to open the windows and let the smoke from his crack pipe out.
