'MASH' Star Wayne Rogers Dies at 82 ("Trapper" John McIntyre)


Actor Wayne Rogers died on Thursday from complications from pneumonia, his rep exclusively tells ET. He was 82 years old.

Rogers, who hailed from Alabama, is best known for playing the role of Captain “Trapper” John McIntyre in the classic television series MAS*H from 1972-1975. He also had recurring roles in City of Angels, House Calls, and Murder, She Wrote.

RIP. He has been on Fox Business as a regular analyst for a few years now. I loved his MASH character.


He left the show stating he would have been ‘typecast’ and unable to find work. He said Alan Alda tried to talk him out of leaving, and how he should have listened to him
