Might was well start off with one of the most obvious choices from 1966.

Mostly great stuff. But I was surprised to see Tiny Tim’s “Tip Toe Thru The Tulips” on their short list! I thought that was only a gag song, like Dr. Demento would play. I was surprised again to see that wikipedia says it actually made it to #17 on the charts in '68.
