No Charges in Completed Investigation of WI Gov. Scott Walker

The so-called John Doe investigation into Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker has come to a conclusion with no charges filed against the Governor.

The probe has dragged on for three years, netting a few of Walker’s associates from his days as Milwaukee County Executive and other tangential figures, but the Governor himself was left untouched by the investigation. Retired Appeals Court Judge Neal Nettesheim signed the order to close the investigation on March 1.

This investigation, meant to ensnare Gov. Walker, left him untouched while snagging, almost accidentally, some people who had used his coat tails (if that) for their own purposes. I’m sure more than a few union thugs are disappointed, possibly between sessions to figure out another way to use “ethics” complaints to attack Walker (different state, same method used against Gov. Palin).

You can bet the unions will wait a few months and drag up another investigation especially if Walker pushes the right to work factions. The union bosses want that man out of office so bad, they are willing to spend bundles of the members money just for harrassment purposes.
