Obama reads his children's book

Yes Obama shows the quality of his education.

Usually, big-name authors plug their books on a nationwide book tour. President Barack Obama took a lower-key approach Friday, reading selections from his new children’s book to a group of delighted second-graders in suburban Virginia.
In the library of Long Branch Elementary School, some four dozen youngsters giggled and squirmed as Obama gave voice to passages from “Of Thee I Sing,” an illustrated volume in the form of a letter to his daughters describing the lives of 13 great Americans. It was written in 2008 but just came out this fall, with proceeds going to a scholarship fund for the children of fallen and disabled soldiers

Yes folks it is all about him.

To be as fair as I can be, at least the proceeds are going for a good cause. Don’t tell J.Anderson I said anything nice about Obama. He might have to change his opinion about our fairness

I have to agree. I could care less what the book is about considering where the proceeds are going. I am always up for helping soldiers and their families.

That’s nice of him.

Contrary to popular belief, children’s books are not necessarily easier to write than adult books.

oh yes. It takes quite a bit of finesse to propagandize our children and word these children books in a way that it gets past the parents.

Yeah, that’s very true, but of course, it isn’t what I was thinking about. People who write books for both adults & children will tell you that writing for children is more difficult - my guess is, that it is hard to write to a level for children without “talking down” to them. Of course, not having read Obama’s book, I don’t know whether he could pass the test of a good writer or not. My guess is not, since he has to have a teleprompter to talk to 6th graders. Perhaps he didn’t write it himself - just like his other books.

[/quote]It can be debated whether Obama wrote this book anyway since he has a history of having others do it for him. We do know he likes to take credit for others work.
