Republican controlled committee votes to grant backdoor open borders via asylum regulation

See: GOP-led House committee rebuffs Trump administration on immigrant asylum claim policy

July 26, 2018

”A GOP-led House committee delivered a rebuke of the Trump administration’s immigration policies this week — an unusual bipartisan move that may ultimately spell trouble for must-pass spending measures later this year.

The powerful House Appropriations Committee passed a measure that would essentially reverse Attorney General Jeff Sessions’s guidance earlier this year that immigrants will not generally be allowed to use claims of domestic or gang violence to qualify for asylum.”

Keep in mind the Obama Administration adopted a new policy allowing victims of domestic violence in Central America to seek asylum in the United States. Jeff Sessions reversed that insane policy which ultimately would allow tens of millions of foreigners from poverty stricken countries to flood into the United States and become a new tax and social burden for American citizens to deal with.

In effect, Obama’s asylum policy change created a backdoor open borders situation not approved by Congress, a policy change which would make any wall along our southern border totally meaningless, as this new category of asylum seekers would defeat any wall built and allow the worlds poverty stricken to pour over America’s borders which is the very reason Jeff Sessions reversed the policy!

And now, just as the House is to go on a break, Fifth Column Republicans join open border Fifth Column Democrats to undermine President Trump’s immigration policy which is designed to promote America’s best interests and her general welfare.

The question is, will those who realize the devastating social and financial consequences which unregulated immigration can inflict on a nation, make their feelings known this coming election?

There is no surer way to weaken, destroy and subjugate a prosperous and freedom loving country than by importing the world’s poverty stricken and criminal populations into that country and making the country’s existing citizens tax-slaves to support the economic needs of such an invasion.

Which will go NOWHERE because President Trump will undoubtedly veto it. Nothing to get one’s panties in a wad over.

#3

I sure hope so!

#4

It is being tied to a spending bill which intentionally complicates things in a dramatic way. This type of tactic has been repeatedly used by Fifth Column activists in Congress to get their way. And it has worked every time, even under Trump!

#5

True, but it STILL has to go through the Senate first. I doubt it’ll survive conference.

#6

A gamble which the Republican Controlled committee should not have allowed! But heck, why not gamble when K Street is pouring millions upon millions into our Fifth Column Republicans war chests?

#7

John, do you know how many have come from latin America since 2010 to apply for Asylum?

It’s not even half a million. Worldwide.

Further, when it comes to apprehensions at the border, were at a 46-year low.

#8

Totally irrelevant to the new policy being advocated which will draw them by the tens of thousands.

Do you ever use your brain and think things through?

#9

And yet you revised your number. :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

When you look into the stories of the people filing these, you realize the category is necessary.

We can talk about making standards more strict, or how many of them in this category we let in per year, but the category is necessary.

#10

Nonsense. Since when are we obligated–EITHER legally or morally–to open our borders because other nations choose not to protect their citizens from abuse and we try to do so???

#11

Sorry. I meant to write “tens of millions”. Creating this new class will draw the poverty stricken, poorly educated, low and unskilled populations of Central American countries by the Tens of Millions over a generation or two !

A spending bill which also neglects The Wall. A potential veto and a long term “shutdown” before the mid-terms should scare the hell out of the Republicans. Trump likes to telegraph things on Twitter. Maybe it’s time to deliver a quiet message to Ryan and McConnell.

Asylum has always generally pertained to political and religious persecution. This legislation by the House, if it were to become law, would effectively put in place open borders - for real, as gangs proliferate Mexico and Central/South America. Those claiming asylum would have to have a hearing to which we know 80+ % would not even show up.

It’s a shame that when we finally have a strong POTUS, he is hamstrung with an insufficient number of conservatives in congress. Flake, McCain, Corker, led by the likes of House Speaker, Paul RINO, are completely useless

This legislation, which was passed as House members were leaving town for their summer recess, is nothing short of capitulation by House Republicans on the issue of illegal immigration,

BTW, believe it or not - I heard a couple of days ago there are only a total of 8 full day when congress is in session between now and November - counting several 1/2 day sessions.

I really don’t know why folks are so concerned about the House going Dem, as Dems largely control it now, as this piece of crap legislation attests.

Keep in mind, under the Obama Administration and his new domestic violence category for asylum seekers, asylum applications in the United States increased by 1,675 percent! LINK

And now, after our AG reverses Obama’s backdoor open border policy, our very own Republican Controlled Committee proposes legislation to overrule Jeff Sessions’ action which reversed Obama’s policy.

What is freaken going on? Is it not obvious we have a Fifth Column infestation in the Republican Party leadership which works hand in hand with our socialist democrat leadership?

Never doubted it for a second, JWK. I believe that the DNC has INTENTIONALLY run closeted lefties AS “Republicans” for selected GOP “safe” seats in Congress in order to subvert the intentions of REAL Republicans, just as they’ve INTENTIONALLY packed various federal bureaucracies with “their” people for the same purpose. Maine, New Hampshire, Alaska and upstate New York come immediately to mind about the former.

#16

Never thought of that before but I wouldn’t put it past them.

Read the stories Mike. Tell me how they don’t count, when you have people threatening your family.

"Like so many others, Guadalupe’s family had been targeted by the “maras,” local gang members who showed up at their door demanding “rent” soon after her husband started a small electrical company.

“My husband didn’t have that kind of money,” she said. “We couldn’t go to the police because [the maras] would find out and then definitely kill you.”

They murdered her husband anyway, shooting him 20 times.

“I knew then I had to leave or they would kill me,” she said."

Prior experience doesn’t back this claim; we’ve had this category for over a decade, and yet, border incursions have only fell.

Once again, we’re at our lowest rate of apprehensions in 46 years, and it’s a trend that goes back basically to 2006.

#18

Fear of gang and domestic violence has NOT been considered grounds for asylum for purposes of entering the US.

Should this provision be adopted virtually anyone could be considered eligible for asylum.

Yes, many of these stories are gut-wrenching, but the United States cannot be considered the world’s tit and survive as a country with a common language, values and core culture.

#19

One can only wonder WHAT it is that motivates AS to be so “generous” towards illegal invaders of our country. It certainly isn’t altruism since he shows NONE whatsoever towards American CITIZENS who suffer from this invasion.

What do you think is the point?
