Senator Graham says he’ll break no-new-tax pledge for cliff deal

Republican senator says he

“I signed it in 2002, and I’m not signing any more pledges,” Graham said. “I’m just going to take an oath to the Constitution. I ain’t signing no more pledges.”

Does this RINO scum know that an “oath” to the Constitution means actually obeying the Constitution?

I agree. He said he wants to just swear an oath to the Constitution, but his actions show he is ignorant of the Constitution or simply doesn’t care. Also, this shows the tax pledge is more symbolic with less substance. Graham may violate his signing of the pledge, others probably would as well, and Bush (41) famously went back on a verbal pledge on no new taxes. It is quite possible to never vote for a tax increase without signing a pledge as reflected in the service of Dr. No.
