After what feels like a little bit of a lull in the gun debate because of the sequester, state lawmakers are back at it trying to limit second amendment rights. In Colorado lawmakers are now trying to limit what kind of guns one can own. And it’s not the “assault” weapons that everyone has been talking about. Remember how the President said he didn’t want to keep people from hunting and how he released the photo of him shooting a gun?
Well now these Colorado state lawmakers want to ban the state’s most popular hunting shotgun. This new bill has been moving quickly through the state Capitol, it has already passed the House and Governor Hickenlooper has already said he would sign it. “A pump or semi-automatic shotgun is the gun most hunters in Colorado use. It’s a gun state Sen. Greg Brophy, R-Wray,” says could be banned under the new law.

If this law gets passed it will set a precedent that can be expanded on later to justify taking even more guns out of American hands.
