From AFP:
The US Senate on Saturday blocked a White House-backed bill to offer a path to citizenship to young undocumented immigrants who attend college or enroll in the military.

Lawmakers voted 55-41, largely along party lines, to end debate on the Development, Relief and Education for Alien Minors (DREAM) Act, falling short of the 60 needed to do so and effectively killing the legislation.

Excellent news!

This is great news.

I heard a rumor that it’s been sneaked into other bills. I guess time will tell. It doesn’t pay to trust any of this bunch.
That is pretty much how congress does that. They sneak stuff into bills or put them in deliberately knowing the other side will balk at it. In the case of Reid he has done this many times and then he pulls the bill so he can claim the Republicans were against the main bill.

This is why we need stand along bills.
