The Gospel is the good news that God, through the perfect life, atoning death and bodily resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, rescues sinners from eternal judgment and gives them peace with Him forever, for the glory of His Name.
God’s authority is the basis of the Gospel. The Gospel is about the Holy God and how He reconciles fallen people to Himself (Acts 17:24-27) (Hebrews 11:6). Man’s deficiency is the reason for the Gospel (Romans 5:12) (Romans 2:14-16). Jesus’ministry is the solution of the Gospel (Genesis 3:15) (Galatians 4:4-5) (Acts2:22-23) (1 Peter 2:24) (Hebrews 2:14-15) (2 Corinthians 5:21). The sinner’s responsibility is to repent and believe the Gospel (John 5:24). Believing involves faith and repentance. (Galatians 2:16) (Mark 1:15)
